Couture Pavelski Giroux Duchene are the 2nd tier guys. 1st tier guys are Crosby Malkin JT OVI Toews Stamkos and Getzlaf imo. Thornton is no where as good as he used to be and is getting older. - mighty13duck

I'm convinced Boomer is just trying to boost his ratings for Boomer and Carton |

It's Michalek, there's no doubt in my mind, the mind molded by Boomer's game of clue |

Six hours into the reopening of the NHL. Nothing was happened? Come on!!!! Just turned Boomer on. Carton mentioning the twitter thing. Pushing it until 8:30 poopting on hockey. I want to punch him in his face. Talking about the Mets on Feb 24. Yay. |

I don't know if anyone else has had this thought, but the Rangers rumored interest in acquiring Martin St. Louis seems to me an indication that they may have decided to keep Brad Richards until the end of his contract and not buy him out. |

Really? You mean it's not the Krips they're babbling about first? I actually like Boomer but that show is totally unlistenable with Carton's voice. |

I said that yesterday.... Holy crap, that scares the hell out of me. Sather has got to go before July 1. |

I'm not so sure of that, if and when they do acquire St. Louis maybe I'll give more probability but it's all speculation at this point, at this point I'd give it a (C2) |

Just as I was getting out of the car, Carton was inquiring about Sather and dealing with St. Louis (using the anglican pronounciation) thus referring to the city, Boomer then playfully responded by never saying anything about the city St. Louis, obviously they are playing around with the anglican and french pronounciation of the city vs MSL's name. Its pretty obvious to me that MSL is whom he is referring when discussing his information. The question is why would Yzerman do it straight up, so, is there another either current roster player or near NHL ready prospect that the Rangers would have to give? I'm thinking RC+ for MSL+ a later round draft pick?? |

Boomer finally let it out, St. Louis for Callahan, he said he found out 4 weeks ago the Rangers would "try", how is that getting it done?
I wouldn't hate the trade but i'd rather stay younger and get bigger, I would explore the Stewart route |

Interesting, who would you rather have? Chris Stewart who by all accounts is inconsistent but big, and talented but clearly an enigma who is a UFA after next season who will probably walk in the interest of allowing the Rangers own homegrown talent to develop OR, Marty St. Louis (who is still unlikely to be here) who despite his age is still extremely productive, a proven winner and is probably hall of fame bound (being a hall of famer shouldn't be a criteria for acquiring him) and who will also probably not be around after the end of next season with a million being the difference in the cap hit. |

I'm all about what's best long term and I'd rather have Stastny and Stewart going forward than Richards and St. Louis, Richards has been better this season but with that contract and his declining ability to keep up we're better off moving on |

I understand in wanting "more" for Cally, but when he's going to be a UFA after the season, teams will not give a lot unless they fully plan on signing him to an extension right away. |

I don't really think any of us would really disagree with that.
However, I am just trying to get a feel for what I think the organization would do, not what we would do, and I get the feeling more and more everyday that Richards is gonna be here a long time. |

It's a tough call. Stastny doesn't do it for me for what he is going to cost. I've made my feelings known about Stewart. MSL is only going to be here thru next year and given what I've read about Stewart and his penchant for the chateau bow wow he is going to walk after next season although the light might actually go on in his head. The question is do they still amnesty BR? Allow Miller to stick next season at center? |

Dont get me wrong ,a player like him would be a great add.He would be like another Mike Fisher to us .But i just dont see us being in the rental market ,we need top 6 help that will grow with our young team . |

once the deadline passes and we get past the rumours, and whatever trades happen, it's going to turn into non stop speculating about whether or not Richards will be bought out and it won't stop until the buyout period is over. |

So, has it been established that Boomer is a bust, with this whole MSL business? |
