Michael St. Croix was called back to the Wolfpack from the ECHL today.
I wonder if that means a forward will be coming here from Hartford. |

I definitely want Carcillo to stay in lineup.
Not a big fan of Dorsett, much prefer JT Miller in lineup over him. |

I don't really think any of us would really disagree with that.
However, I am just trying to get a feel for what I think the organization would do, not what we would do, and I get the feeling more and more everyday that Richards is gonna be here a long time. - jimbro83
He could be the next captain |

Hard for me to see how either Dorsett or Carcillio are better situated to play a second/third line role than Miller.

I think Nash will be the next captain if Callahan is gone.

Nor am I. I don't think he has the personality for it. I am surprised McDonagh is never mentioned as a possible Captain. He is the best player on the team save, Hank, and he isn't going anywhere forever. You here Staal mentioned, including by some of the Rangers beat writers, but the Rangers could be in the same situation with Staal next year that they find themselves in with Girardi and Callahan now. |

I would love nothing more than to see Mcdonagh get the C. He already is the leader of the defensive group. Might as well make him the team leader too. |

Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray will be continuing his search for a reliable, stay-at-home defenseman and hopes to acquire one by the March 5 trade deadline.
The Ducks have shown serious interest in New York Rangers defenseman Dan Girardi, multiple sources have told TFP, and trade talks between the two clubs are expected to pick up steam.
Girardi, 29, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent July 1 and contract negotiations between his agents and the Rangers have reportedly hit a stalemate.
According to the New York Post, the Rangers have informed other teams that they are officially willing to trade Girardi, instead of risk losing him for nothing as a free agent this summer.
The Ducks have multiple young assets they appear willing to trade, though it's unclear if Murray has any interest in moving a player like Sami Vatanen, whom the Rangers are believed to have interest in, as part of a deal for Girardi.
Several other teams are interested in Girardi, including the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings and Philadelphia Flyers.
In 59 games with the Rangers so far this season, Girardi has tallied four goals and 13 assists for 17 points, along with 14 penalty minutes. |

the Ducks have two first rounders, I think it's a certainty they will trade one to bolster their lineup.
If the Rangers really do intend on trading Girardi, they better make sure Staal is healthy |

I would say I want Gibson, but I think the Ducks would absolutely nix any deal involving him. So I'll settle for Bobkov, one of Noeson, Kerdiles, Sorenson, DSP or Rakell and a draft pick. |

I'd be happy with that return. Rangers have start scouting goalies, soon too. He turns 32 next year and Talbot will be 27. Gotta get a goalie soon. |
