I think Callahan will get some very good offers from teams much closer to winning. I think this he wants to go back to play home in buffalo thing is way overblown.

The Rangers supposedly have interest in Sami Vatanen. (TFP) He is a 22-year old, right shot defenseman from Finland. He had five assists in 6 games for Finland at the Olympics.

so about that vatanen + palmieri/1st for girardi deal that was talked about before the olympics

WE stole Drury from them, they steal Cally from us. Both with deals that are going to be way over-paid and thus ending their careers by being bought out.

The larger problem for the Rangers, who would give him $6MM per, is that he wants seven years. Slats will only go five, understandably, given that his playing style might well shorten his playing career or at least his prime years.
