unfortunately probably not. as much as id like to get beer thrown at me in my crosby jersey, i probably wouldnt be able to get the free day/time to do it. - stayinthefnnet
Would you be able to represent a Flyers fan in a case where he beat a Pens fan? This is assuming you become a defense attorney (I don't recommend that) |

interesting tidbit somewhat along those lines. a career counselor down at temple recommended i put the fact that i was a penguins fan in the interest section of my resume haha
but to answer the question, assuming all seriousness, fandom wouldnt enter into the equation for me one way or the other. |

Haven't read the whole thread so forgive me if someone has mentioned this already but what about Gilbert in Florida. Would he be an upgrade over anything we have, right handed shot and would come pretty cheap unless he gets to UFA Status where someone may overpay. He is having a decent statistical year in Florida |

Should have signed Gilbert instead of Streit during the summer... with that said, unless they're moving a dman out, not sure Gilbert would be worth assets to acquire at the moment, with Kimmo, Mez still in the mix. |

I agree with you. Tanking is dumb in hockey. There are usually good players at the front end of the draft, but all stars can be found all over the first round.
Young players need to learn how to win. Look at the Oilers as a prime example. - PhillySportsGuy
Losing doesn't exactly leave your franchise an attractive landing place for other players, nor keeping the players you have. Of course, if you're a really, really bad team like the Sabres are this year, I understand staying the course and getting the pick. |

I like where I'm at, but I'd be lying if I said having to wait another few weeks to skate wasn't killing me. Oh well, at least I have a female dogin' scar for my troubles. |

But its not like they're losing on purpose. They aren't benching Miller. They are trying to win. They're just not very good. They'll suck again next year and end up with a very high pick in a very good draft. By that point, they'll have a number of high draft picks ready to make an impact in the NHL. |

Ristolainen is gonna be very good. I have a feeling last year's draft for D will be like 2003 for forwards. |

They keep stockpiling picks too. The Isles pick is going to be a very good one as well now that Tavares is out. |

I remember two years ago when people complained about the lack of defense depth in the system. It was pretty universal in that we felt the Flyers needed to develop dmen better through the draft. I was willing to be patient and patch together the D as we waited for the young guys to come along. Many people felt that way then, but are growing impatient now. - PhillySportsGuy
Flyers fans getting impatient??
NO, tell me it's not so!

Although he was taken 15th, and Reinhart was taken 4th, I think Pulock will end up being the steal of the draft. That dude is putting up better numbers than Shea Weber was in the WHL, which is usually a good measuring stick for juniors to the NHL for defensemen.
Edit: This is a broken thought. I meant to also say that I think Pulock is the better of the 2 picks (he and Reinhart). |

Possibly, though the one knock I remember hearing about Pulock was his skating. It will be interesting to see if he can put up those kinds of numbers in a much faster league. Also big guys like Weber often take longer to grow into their size and develop. |

I just don't get why the b-word is represented as "female dog" but I can go around talking about slappin' my hoes and there's no censor.
Also, there's many worse words (at least 1) for penis, but the d-word is the only one censored.
For instance, "I went down to the farm today, unzipped my pants and grabbed my huge cock. They're unrelated, as I had to pee, so I whipped out my penis, and my prize rooster likes to be held." |

I remember him writing an article about how the Flyers should sign Clarkson last offseason. He thought 3 years $3M AAV would get it done. - PhillySportsGuy
Clarkson has been a disaster. I would think the Leafs would like a do over there. |
