Burmistov is the only KHL russian I would want to get back in the NHL and with the Avs - DDM-Coga
I think Radulov could have some value...low risk, high reward situation. He has played for Roy before and excelled. Plus playing with fellow countryman Varly might be tempting to him. |

I have to agree with this even if the guy looks like your average murderer and takes lazy penalties like he's dying for a break.
He has a lot of offensive upside and maybe Roy can make him better defensively. #trustinstpatrick |

Brodeur isn't going to be a starter on any team in the NHL.
Why trade him to a team so he can be a backup there when he can just be the backup in NJ? |

Sakic & Roy have continuously said they will be quiet at the deadline...but I don't buy that at all.
It makes sense to ride this successful season out and let the current boys get another or their first taste of the playoffs and then work on shoring up their lines in the off-season, but I absolutely believe Sakic/Roy will make a move to set themselves up better for next season, right now, if the opportunity presents itself.
No word on Stastny's UFA status, his trade worth is a lot more right now than he will be prior to the start of free agency....and there is no point in holding out on trading him if they don't plan on keeping him. He will not center them to a Cup this season - but could definitely plug some holes on the defense and potentially give the Avs a better chance at a deeper run, more for experience setting up next year. |

Can we stop with this Brodeur rumor mongering. None of the top teams in the NHL improve themselves by starting Brodeur over their current goalie. It would be backup security at the best. - GSDIV

being accused and being charged with the crime are 2 different things. Since the charges were dropped with a lack of evidence, you have to give the benefit of the doubt to Varly that they investigation was done to its full extent.
1 person calling someone something doesnt make it so, we all hope it didnt happen bc thats a terrible thing, but no evidence was presented to prove that her claims were true. Sorry but try again |

I want Stastny on the Blues. But don't see it as a possiblity until the offseason. |

The KHL is the greatest beer league in the world. Let's not poop on it. - Fols19
anyone seriously considering bringing in Radulov needs to watch the US Russia game from the Olympics - and the replay of his efforts from playoffs with Nashville.
tell you everything you need to know... nothing to do with talent...
i) very little high level competitiveness
ii) 100% selfish
iii) not a case of shying away for contact - he outright will not take a hit to make a play

I'm guessing being reunited with his junior coach will help clean up his act , he won a memorial cup with Roy back in 2006. |

Roy does believe in his players to take chances offesnively. Radulov would have more flexibilty to try and get away with more offensive play by sacrificing defence.
Roy does want his team to be defensively responsibly, but if you abandon that to try and creat offensive, he is more forgiving. Reason why he benched Barrie mid season. You cant be bad defensively and not good offsensively. IF you are going to be softer on D, you better be taking some risks and creating some scoring chances. |

VARLY! VARLY! VARLY!
Now back on topic... The only reason I could see the Avs going after Brodeur is because Giguere's back is worse than everybody thought, but I personally don't see it happening. And as far as Radulov goes, he'd be a nice addition, but these Russian players running off to the KHL are big questions for NHL teams. Regardless, I'm very interested in seeing what Roy and Sakic do come the trade deadline and free agency. |

Oh I know its not a black and whtie situation, im sure there is a lot more to the story that has been told.
But in the eyes of the law nothing was done or could be found, so as an Avs fan you have to believe the guy was falsely accused and move on. |

The whole situation seemed fishy from the get go. Not to mention the fact that Vavrinyuk's lawyer, Robert Abrams, was charging news channels for interviews with the accuser, and several of the translations by Robert's fiancée were put into question. |
