Trading Holtby would be a huge mistake by the Capitals. Their #4-6 defensemen in front of Holtby/Neuvirth/Grubauer have been the bigger issue and their goalie coach trying to change Holtby's playing style hasn't helped. He's apparently gone back to what has worked for him in the past which is a more aggressive style.

I would say that secondary scoring has been a bigger issue than goaltending. Need someone else to help Ovie with the scoring burden and draw some coverage away from him.

Trading away prospects and young cost-controlled talent isn't what the Capitals should be doing. If they want to trade away Neuvy in a package that's fine but I just hate rentals especially when the caps are a long shot to win a cup.

Seen some rumors of late the Caps might be interested in Smid. I wonder what he'd be worth - Calgary only gave up two low/midtier young players for him since he has so much term left on his deal. Though I would laugh pretty hard if Calgary somehow got a better return than Edmonton did.

Can we stop with this Brodeur rumor mongering. None of the top teams in the NHL improve themselves by starting Brodeur over their current goalie. It would be backup security at the best.

Hey just remember most ppl here in Canada know whats up. i wouldn't be taking any of that Toronto morons info seriously. You're forgetting that these people also pay money to see the jays and the raptors. Moving forward, kovy broke it down best when he said she was just in it for the green card. At the end of the day tho it would suck to be her, to be broke out in wack Denver, all by herself so there should be some sympathy there.

Jokerit is joining the KHL next year. If that team continues to play together, they become the next international powerhouse. If Finland didn't have injuries to their key players like Koivu, Filpulla and had Rask in the semi's, Finland goes home with Gold.
