Or you should at least have to list 12-15 teams, settle on a specific number that goes for all players. 1 team is outrageous. - MBFlyerfan
Not 100% on this, but I've heard a player who can provide a list of teams he does/doesn't want to be traded to can change it essentially whenever he wants. I'd like to see that changed. If you insist on having to provide a list, provide the list once and live with it. |

We will have to agree to disagree...I think has more of a say then you think, and has for a very long time - nonpoint22
I think he puts pressure on the team to attain certain goals. Missing the playoffs is not an option with this franchise.
It forces Homer to act impulsively and make moves that will help the team now but hurt them later. |

They should be allowed to change the list once per calender year, I think that would be fair. |

Or he wanted to get back to the Organization that was home for how long, and they offered him a good deal financially. Could be many reasons. But I don't believe that Hextall was guaranteed anything other then his current position, nor was he already told when he was going to be named GM. - MJL
He was pretty comfortable in LA...He was really close with Lombardi....Your right could of been for many reasons, but I think he knows he is next in line to be GM of this club if Homer leaves or is replaced.... |

But again, I don't think Iginla requested to be traded. What he pulled after was pure douchebaggery that affected three franchises, but he had a right to demand his destination in that it was the Flames who wanted to deal him. - MBFlyerfan
You're right, but I believe he wanted to leave. I believe he wanted to be dealt. |

NHL network claimed last night that the Bruins may have interest, but it would take more than a pick or a prospect. - JAKEw1234

I think he knows he's a candidate and has a good shot at it if Holmgren leaves the position for whatever reason. And he may be the front runner. But I don't think Hextall has been promised anything.

Absolutely
I still remember Snider saying after the 11 playoffs that the goaltending situation was unacceptable and it would never happen like that again. The problem is when an owner makes a statement like that, you really make things difficult for your GM. As soon as Holmgren contacts Bryzgalov's agent, the agent has to be thinking "hmm they have to be desperate for a goalie, time to take them to the cleaners on this deal".
This is why I really wish Snider would keep his mouth shut in public. I don't care what he may say to Holmgren behind closed doors, but you can't make statements like that to the media. All he had to say was "I'm very disappointed in how this season ended and I'm sure that Paul and his staff will do whatever it takes to turn things around." |

He may not have been actually promised the job, but with the Flyers track record of staying in house when making these types of changes, well, it's a pretty safe bet. |

Sometimes, Snyder does hurt his GM with his comments, but he does speak the truth. I like when he says things like how "the start of the season was unacceptable" and that "Leaving Giroux off Team Canada was ridiculous and that he's better than half the players on that team" |

Not his style...he loves being in the limelight when it comes to the Flyers...He is the one who gets short with reporters at news conferences and give interviews about what he wants for the team. He will always do it and it will always hurt this team in the long run |

Thats a ridiculous asking price. I wouldn't even give a 1st for Ott. I would give a 2nd and a conditional 2nd if he re-signed. |

No Sellers, many Buyers which equals ridiculous prices and a overall boring trade deadline |
