I'd like to see a Heritage Classic trade, Spezza for Kesler.
Ott wants a responsible power forward and Van need scoring (Spezza with Twins on the PP would be stupid!)
Both would have to agree, both have some term left. Spezza's cap hit is higher but cash is less than cap hit.
Maybe an extra piece is added on each side, but seems like a win-win hockey trade.

In order to break an addiction you need stop the destructive behavior. Just don't drink, go to meetings.

Snider needs detox and rehab. Nothing of the whole gets better until the Flyers stop chasing the most exciting name available. LaCavalier was just one more crazy signing because he was available. Kessler is a good player. But this will end up being another Carter, JVR or Richards type deal. Sometimes you just need to stop the bad behavior. The Flyers suck at doing trades. So, just stop!

People don't seem to realize this, but the Flyers absolutely raped the Richards/Carter trades from a statistical standpoint. The return we got has outproduced Carter and Richards, and by quite a large margin I might add... Just saying...

Don't be such a Richard poopter just cuz I left Bozak, Kadri, bolland & mcclement of the list, they are the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th best 2-way centers in the game respectively, in fact they're probably 1,2,3 & 4( I just meant 1 & 2 outside of T-O) in fact I predict a 4-way tie for the Selke this year. All Toronto Centers; Forever.

Toews maybe, but all 3 are more offensive minded and less defensive. I like Toews and in all honesty him and Kes are the only comparables that you listed. I can't recall Kopitar or Bergeron ever carrying their team on there back and winning a playoff series... But I know Daysyuk, Kesler and Toews have all done it.

The funny thing is bozak has been better when in the lineup this year. But I wouldn't say so overall. But don't be such a Richard because you realize you said something stupid.

I don't think anybody in their right mind would take kesler ocervtoews. That's just canucks fans saying stupid things.

I can't think of a bigger cry-baby prima donna, "me first" player than Kesler. Most of us knew that he would pack it in under a hard nosed coach.

One could argue that most of the Canucks' chemistry problems are a result of Kesler's attitude. I have been on the "trade Kesler" side for more than a few years. Hopefully the Canucks can get good value for him, but his value two years ago was tremendous and the attitude was still there.

There are lots of good young-guns out there to build around, I'd lose this bum in a hurry.
