Pronger's contract will take up 6.9% of the available cap space on the roster the Flyers submit to start the season. There's no way around that. Keeping Laughton in the AHL until after Pnorger goes on LTIR in favor of a guy like Hall would save a few hundred K. It's not any kind of solution to the problem. - Feanor

i know. so i take that number with a grain of salt. but still. he at least contributes in some way to them being stacked in the first place. - stayinthefnnet

There is a bit more manuverability then you think. Like Raffl and Laughtons contracts can be hidden for 1 day, not including one of the "rookie" d-men that are likey going to make the team. All-in all they arent going to run into the same problem they had with Cleary this summer. |

Nah. Anderson is the same age as Mason. I've hitched my wagon to Mason for the foreseeable Future. Im not opposed to getting a goalie, but I'd rather have a younger guy like Gibson. |

Sorry to do this, but the Bryz signing just sucks. If they didn't sign him, they could have bought out Pronger and been done with this whole thing. Very frustrating. |

Has to be cleared to play, so probably.
I do share your sentiments about Bryz though.
Vinny, Streit, Bryz, Briere... really wish they'd quit it with the July 1 fireworks. |

Come on man, think about it. Why would Pronger forfeit 1/3 of his salary that he earns for doing nothing, to pass a physical, when he can collet his full salary by not passing a phyisical. |

Retire with dignity… I wouldn't say the man is hurting for money. |
