It's not breaking news that you don't understand how the cap works.
Pronger's $4.94 million hit must be included in any roster submitted at the end of training camp. There is no way around it. This means the Flyers have $66m to use on players who can actually play instead of $71 million. - Feanor
My posting history here points out that I understand how the Cap works as well as anyone, if not better. And I'm well aware of how the Flyers have to proceed with Pronger. It's not going to stop the Flyers from having plenty of Cap space flexibility.
And you're last statement is not true, because there are other factors that a team can use such as waiving and demoting players, using the bonus cushion, etc.
Every year I read the same comments, that turn out to be false. How the Flyers are screwed every year with the cap. Yet every Season they make large offers to players. And every year they make it work. Here's a misconception of the Cap. A team doesn't necessarily have to be at or under the Upper Limit at the end of training camp, or submit the actual roster that will actually play during the Season. A team just has to be Cap compliant.
The Flyers have about 12.6M to use next Season. That is before putting Pronger on LTIR. When in effect their Upper Limit will go to about 76M. And the Flyers have the option of placing Pronger on LTIR when submitting their roster at the end of training camp. |

Flyersgod- I think you underrate vas....he was set to go in the second round if not for a shoulder injury. He's already playing in the khl. I don't think he's as long of a shot as you think. |

No matter what happens, he was a good pick for the 7th round.
I think his game is better suited to the smaller rink. |

I have not seen the same report, if true great. All it will take is an offer of that will give him more $$ than he'd make on a ELC |

That's a good risk, if it works great if not you only spent a 7th rounder on the player. |

You may be confusing him with Hagg. I know Hagg stated he wanted to play 2 seasons in SHL before coming to NA. Apparently, that may have hurt his draft stock. |

Sabers did good
Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres
#Sabres get a 2014 first round pick if St. Louis makes Western Conference Finals this year or if Miller re-signs with Blues. |

Jesus. Knowing that I can safely say the Blues gave up way too much in this deal. |
