March 1 ... outdoor game in Chicago ... 13 degrees and alot of snow falling ... ice sucks ... you can't skate or deliver passes. I would mail it in too. This is a joke. It's an embarrassment for the NHL. A game like this should never be put in Chicago this time of year. Joke. - Oneonta Penguin
to me, there should be 1 outdoor game a year. that game at Michigan was simply amazing... multiple outdoor games later... not so much. |

any time you have more than one, the luster of these drops. I had zero interest seeing outdoor game on the west coast. I always love seeing Yankee Stadium jammed down our throats - twice and that doesn't include the Super Bowl. It's all a joke. The novelty isn't there.

I don't know, I think most people at the time believed adding Iggy was a good thing. I'm not going to go off on one of my anti-Bylsma rants, but I really believe he wasn't used right. He's played very well with the B's. He's second in scoring for the B's. 44pts, 17g, +21. Only getting 1.8. Think the Pens would like to have him this year at 1.8mil? Second thought, Dan might have him playing D.
I will say, I didn't like the Morrow trade. I watched a lot of Dallas last year and I didn't think he had much left. - madmike71
dont forget the 5th to 3rd upgrade that eventually led to tristan jarry... that makes that deal more palatable |

I missed that, what'd they say? - drummer829
I can only paraphrase, but I heard a couple of interviews where they talked about this game as more of an event than a good hockey game. Stuff about it's fun for the fans and the city, but you didn't hear the players love it. They didn't seem excited at all. Somebody said something about preparing for bad ice....that kind of thing.
I saw an interview with Sid and you could tell he had no interest. |

Can you blame him? It feels like 4 degrees and it was a snow globe. It's supposed to get bad again too |

If you go by play and effort - everyone should be traded. They have no interest. It's just not Despres. |

Two penalties for him already. Not good.
We need to sustain a little more pressure. We are just bad right now. |

That's what I thought. Guy is skating on egg shells then you put him in a game that's a circus. |

A proposed deal would send Kesler to the Penguins in exchange for center Brandon Sutter, two 2014 draft picks — likely a first- and third-round — and the Canucks' choice of defensemen Simon Despres or Brian Dumoulin, the sources said.

Yeah, I'd do it at this point. I really think Despres will be a good player, but he's not going to get a shot with Dan. |

Another Canucks player has to be coming back. Just way too much for one player |

That is sheer idiocy. So, we won't draft until the fourth round? Way to go Shero. What a joke if this happens.

As much as I like Despres' game, it will be better for him If he leaves. But I'd be cool If Vancouver chose Dumoulin instead of him. |

Regarding Despres taking penalties:
It is often said that there is no training regimen that can replicate NHL game action.
What I'm getting at is that there is no way to adequately practice situations where you're facing a championship-caliber forward line whom are allowed to skate unopposed through the neutral zone. |
