10 goals for Brandon with no wingers. Remind me of the career point total of the great Joe Vitale. - Oneonta Penguin
like I said before, if you are okay with paying Brandon sutter 4 million a year for 17 goals, that's youre business. im not okay with that.

Since when? we would play Detroit now in the opening round. I wouldn't like that match-up if I were Pittsburgh. DB versus Babcock. LOL. - Oneonta Penguin
Yeah, Bylsma never won a big series against him... |

You are a quintessential example of why an ignore button needs to be put on this site. I only do that to delusional people. - Oneonta Penguin
if we can win the conference but cant beat a wild card team, I think we have bigger problems to worry about than this. |

From Rotoworld:...
Would playing him (Kesler) as a RW make anyone feel better? - kfinl170
Considering Kesler would automatically be the best face-off guy on the team, no. Sid is okay. Jokinen is pretty good at them, too. Kesler just really makes the slotting of the team worse, especially considering HCDB.
The only other thing that I've seen work is Malkin assuming RW after the face-off, Talbot assuming C. That was with Fedotenko as LW; James Neal playing off-wing would be silly. Nothing seems to really make a lot of sense unless they want to shuffle the top lines altogether. I don't trust Bylsma to do that.
??? ??? - Crosby - Neal
Kunitz - Kesler - Malkin
Something like that. Obviously that presents a problem. Jokinen would be the #3 and presumably would be playing with Tanner Glass and Deryk Engelland. I'm actually feeling much worse... |

UMMM ... we had a better team that series. We didn't have any series flaws. Do you want to compare our squad then to now? Babcock is the best coach in the league. |

Hey we got one. This game isn't as sad now. |

Sorry I was thinking about Brandon-Mr. Offense-Sutter as our current 3rd line center and then I became confused. - SuperHenderson13
Are there many third line centers in the league that would be considered Mr. Offense? |

Not sure I can remember a guy blatantly scoring on his own goal like that since Semin or Backstrom. Can't remember, but that was ugly. |

I usually read oneonta penguins posts and laugh, but hes been pretty spot on to ight, albeit a bit over emotional about it though. |

not many, depends on what your team structure is supposed to be. |

So they would give up all of that for someone they are going to view as a third line center? Unreal.
Way too much to give up. Maybe they can talk again in the offseason but I don't like that proposed trade in the least. - acdc1206
Agreed, please form a petition to cancel any subsequent trade!!!!! |

Im pretty sure they would play Kesler just like they played Staal but getting a few minutes as RW to Crosby.
That goal by Seabrook was unreal |

The argument for getting Kesler now isn't about this season. Does it improve the roster this season? Yes, but there are still too many injuries and holes.
But, you get him now because you might not have a chance to get a player like that (for his cap hit) this summer. No UFAs really fit the bill, and if they did, they'd cost too much (like most UFAs). We pass on Kesler, we could be in the same spot next March at the deadline. We all talk about improving the bottom 6, and this would do just that for the next couple seasons. |

You seriously think there is a plan on where to play Kesler? I don't. Is this more like Pittsburgh keeping Kesler away from someone else, like last year? That worked out well.
Seabrook scored? What's the score? I'm watching NCIS LA reruns because of the lack of effort by Pittsburgh. I gave up when they did.

No, your utterly dumb reasons make you incompetent. I have no problem with people that have differing opinions if they make valid arguments. Your foolishness doesn't. Your hockey IQ is that of a five year old girl from the Maldive Islands. |

Kesler will be an excellent float between 1st line RW and third line centre... Mix that with Jokinen being able to take centre. There is lots of versatility... Would rather get Kesler than a one dimensional player.
Edit:
Letang will be the piece that gets Crosby a permanent wing most likely down the road and I don't think you can fault shero for extending him and having letang have a stroke.... No one saw that coming, just BS hindsight |

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 5m
PIT, for example, rumored to be interested in Kesler. Would PIT give up Brandon Sutter, Derrick Pouliot and a 1st rder? Would VAN take it?
