Yup. Got Cuba in a couple weeks then Vegas in April...so at least light at the end of the tunnel.

Understanding the problem is correcting the problem,players/coach/gm are all in the same position.
Now you and some others believe this team didn't improve under Krueger last season and would have not improve at all this season with Krueger as well,but believe that Eakins a inexperience coach is not the biggest reason why this team is doing so bad,Hmmm I heard lots that Ference is not the right Captain to lead this team,now who choose Ference to wear the C?see "some" people says this team is bad and blah blah so if this team is so bad why MacT goes and hired a inexperience Coach?to do what?I'm yes one of them that saw this same Oil team(with out this season additions)improve under Krueger last season and would have improve more with the new additions and I believe MacT saw the same but got over excited with Eakins and though that with Eakins this Oil team would keep improving,well a mistake by a inexperience GM trusting a inexperience Coach.

Is it just the coach or just luck that players like Russel, McGratton, Colborne, Backlund are all playing their best hockey ever? I don't think so.
Giordano, undrafted, good player who is made captain and is playing way beyond what anyone expected of him.
Compare this Flames team to the Flames teams of the past 6-7 years. This year it's a "team" effort. That's what's different.
Bottom line? It's the players. If they're true professionals and they're treated by management as professionals, they'll perform as expected.
But if they're not true professionals and not motivated to be team players then get rid of them no matter how much skill they may have (think Phaneuf, Baertschi even Iginla the past couple of years)
Be able to recognize guys like McGratton who are worth a second chance and the same goes for being able to recognize a good coach who deserves a second chance - like Hartley. (And nothing against Eakins cause I think he was set up to fail - but where was Ted Nolan when McTavish was looking for a coach to motivate his team?
And recognize a truly all-round top draft pick like Monahan - not just the guy with the best "hands" or the best %s- and let him show what he can do.
Name a captain like Giordano who has EARNED the respect of HIS team - don't parachute in a guy who's on his third career move. A captain doesn't need to be "seasoned". He needs to be respected. (How old was Crosby when he became a captain?)
So how much of this is on McTavish? Which of these things is/was he in a position to do something about? Maybe the better question would be: Which of these things COULDN'T he do - or have done - anything about.
Doesn't a GM do any of this stuff?

Yup will be awesome. Have an appointment set up for a custom golf club fitting. A few shows lined up. Some poker. Of course the girls lined up cabanas for some pool parties....good times.

It's a mere 0 now but tomorrow's high is -6 and low is -19 (all Celsius). It's weird how it's a lot less cold when a poop-ton of snow is falling.
