Well everyone claims he sucks but when you give a #5-6 guy 1-2 minutes he is going to (frank) up... Obviously he is no Pronger but people expected him be a impact player

Buddy had zdeno 32 minute a night chara, Denis 28 minute a night seidenberg and Jonny Boychuk in front of him every night.
Plus some reasonable insulation around him.

Ulanov was great in his first go around here paired with Smith. Smith was so solid then , and Ulanov was Hell bent for Mayhem, I loved it!

My hope is there is a playoff team that wants to improve their power play for the playoffs and takes a run at gagner.

Tampas power play could use some improvement. Their RW depth is ok so gagner or even hemmer could fit.

Panik is close to nhl ready. Gagner for Panik + late 1st.

That would give us a LW with size at 6'2 210 for next year and another good trade chip for a dman or big centre. Bit risky if we don't move those picks at the draft of course.

Basically turn gagner into a universal trade chip, if that makes sense. Makes us worse though next year if we don't move the picks at the draft

Good post. All that with the fact that free agents don't wanna sign here. At least if we started winning. But as of today, undesirable spot and a bottom feeder...
