The Jets pissed me off with that.
Trouba, Morrissey, Bogosian, Buff and Enstrom is a solid top 5. - flyer_nutter
Buffalo's is going to look pretty ridiculous too in a few years... Zadorov is another guy that we'll be crying about soon... huge jump up to point-per-game for London and had a monster WJC since the draft... he might turn out to be better than Risto.

I think Buffalo is going to have a fire sale. I think newly acquired Stewart and Halak are definitely going to me moved. Moulson I think is a goner. Ehrhoff, Myers could also be on the move. And of course Miller, and Ott have been dealt already. - PLindbergh31
They are ripe to pillage.
I do have to admit though, as hard as I have been on him, bSchenn is a guy I don't like the idea of trading. Especially while going through the growing pains with him, and seeing him start to put it together.
I would rather they look to move a guy like Hartnell. |

Haha, which is why people don't like the JVR trade. Anyway, Im curious what this team does around the deadline. Its when I see poop going down, and I could see Holmgren keeping his job with the turn-around after the disaster start. - flyer_nutter
I would be ok if they did nothing. If that's the case, at least disaster can be avoided. i.e. none of the kids are dealt, or picks traded for rentals. |

Yep. Stay at home guys are a dime a dozen. - PLindbergh31
Average stay at home guys are a dime a dozen. Dominant physical defensive defenseman, are not a dime a dozen. Do you think the Flyers drafted Morin where they did, because they see him as a dime a dozen stay at home defenseman?

Hah, I was hard on for Zadorov here, and hoped the Flyers would take the kid. Again, we will see what happens with Morin. I am sure OB knows more about him than any of us.
There are guys in the AHL that should be allowed to get a shot though. Alt and Oliver in particular. |

Agreed. I think B. Schenn has really made strides this year. I wouldn't be shocked if he's a consistent 25 goal scorer in the near future. I definitely don't want Couturier traded. Already the most responsible defensive forward on the team at 21. The offense is going to come. The hands he showed on that goal against the Rangers was tremendous. |

Pronger's offensive game was a force even at 16-20. It was always there.
Not saying Morin can't find it.. just saying they're not comparable RIGHT NOW - Flyersgod
I'm good with a more physical version of Coburn. He'll be playing over 20 minutes a night as a steady #2 dman. I can live with that. At the very least, with his size and speed the game from a physical standpoint won't be overwhelming.

Yep. Hopefully out of Hagg, Alt, Ghost, and Morin 2 of the lot are solid NHL regulars. If that is the case I would be ok with it. - PLindbergh31
I'm not even sold on Alt. However, we didn't draft him so he may have the best chance |

I think most people feel this way...but I dont think he would be easy to trade not to mention he has the dreaded NMC |

Know who Morin reminds me of? Or kind of what I see from him in the future? A younger version of Chris Phillips. |

Who's a dominant physical defensive defenseman in today's game? I honestly can't think of one.

just read that edm is looking to get a 2nd for hemsky but might have to settle for a 3rd. a 3rd hemsky i'd do in a heartbeat, if only we had the room for him. |

Coburn was growing in the right direction... but I think Lava ruined his development. No proof, just a feeling.

That's the thing. The Flyers have been going through the growing pains of these kids, and are starting to see positive signs. I would really hate to deal them now when you have veterans like Downie, Hartnell, Grossmann, or even Timonen around that could be dealt for long term help on that back end.
Those are the guys that should be moved first, if in any way possible. |

I think Volchenkov was during his time in Ottawa. |

I fear the Flyers are secretly in on Cammy. Hate that dude. |

Now that the Flyers are in the thick of a playoff race, I can't see them trading Timonen, although it might be a prudent move to get quality asset for a player who probably won't be back next season. |

Picture Zdeno Chara, but without as much offense. Would you be happy if Morin turns out to be that player?

Coburn showed an offensive upside in his early days with the Flyers. They placed him in a more in the role of playing in key defensive situations. And his offensive game disappeared.

I wouldn't be surprised. I'm on the fence with him. Again though we have too many forwards. something would have to give. i dunno. |

I don't see it either, but I'd be in that sell veteran mode (Downie, Grossmann, Hartnell and Timonen). If its a reasonable deal, I'd have no issue being sellers at this deadline.
