yeah i think he's still got an "incomplete" as GM. i think maybe he's been thrown by the team playing so much better than they were 2 years ago and it's made it harder for him to strip some assets like Markov and... well i guess it's just Markov. - DoubleDown
I'd like to see a little more balls from him. Trading Markov would be a good start.
But I'd give him more than an "incomplete" I feel that he's done a good job. |

I don't know. You're talking about the guy, who was traded for the guy, who was traded for Ryan Miller.
Anyone ever figure out who won that trade? - habby
So if Price misses the remaining of the season.. Eller for Halak? |

Eric i'm not suggesting MB call up rival GMs and offer these players. but to me, they're not core guys moving forward. you're talking about 2 players who on a lot of teams, are depth guys, no more. we all like to think Eller has more in him but it's becoming obvious that he's a 30-40 point centre who can play 2 ways. that's good but it's hardly irreplaceable. and i'm not getting into Gorges. - DoubleDown
I'm not suggesting either are irreplaceable. Your word, not mine. I'm just telling you neither will be traded. |

The Miller trade?
I'm thinking short term, St-Louis.
Long term, buffalo. - Pecafan Fan
I meant Halak/Eller
I like what Buff did with that trade. Probably more so depending what they do with Halak. |

I think Saturday's game is another great example of why we should keep Markov.
Give him the 3 years he's asking for I say. - Scabeh
no doubt Markov is still the best defenceman on the team, problem is the team will not be good enough before Markov is 40 so you trade him now for parts that will be good hopefully when the rest of the team is good |

Pretty sure the Halak fan club will be rather silent moving forward.
The guy plays on a contender, and they get rid of him because they don't trust him come playoff time. Even with a team loaded like St-Louis.
Must be tough for Halak as well. Morale can't be too high right now. |

5 our of 6 points aside I think last week is a perfect example of why they should trade Markov.
3 years would be insane. 2 is questionable. |

wonder if Tokarski gets a game out west. doesn't look like Price is close to returning and this is a brutal schedule. |

I'd say it depends on how Budaj plays, but I'd bet the idea is for Budaj to play them all.
I bet Budaj gets pulled in at least one of the games. |

are they travelling with 3 goalies? |

1. Trading Eller with his value in the poopter is not a winning proposition.
2. Trading Gorges at the trade deadline just isn't happening. Doesn't make any sense.
And if they're to chose between Gorges and Emelin down the line, pretty sure they're sticking with Gorges. - EricEngels
And when he starts to play well, they think he is a star so they don't want to trade him anymore. |

Maybe Phoenix? - Pecafan Fan
when are the B2Bs?
i don't think he gets Phoenix. Phoenix is too winnable a game and must go to Budaj.
i would put him in for SJ or Anaheim. those are 2 zero-pressure games for him IMO. on the road in 2 relatively tame arenas, games that Montreal, even with Price in net, would be expected to lose handily. |
