I'm starting to become a little less certain Bergevin has a plan. I find it very disheartening. |

Except all he has to do now is play well for the remainder of the season and all is forgotten and he gets his contract. He's got this poop down. - habby
True. The magic of being 6'4 230 instead of 5'10 170. |

His contribution to that cup win is greatly exaggerated. I'm amazed he's still in the NHL.
On the other hand I would have preferred for Bergevin to have traded for him than Weaver. |

Starting too? He signed Briere this summer!!
You guys are joking about Conacher. I'm way more worried about Corvo.

He was pretty good for LA. Regardless...ya you don't pay for "maybe in the playoffs" however tempting it might be...*Bergevin* |

Acquire Weaver, keep Markov. We're building through the draft but never actually giving the kids a crack at the lineup.... Brilliant. |

I don't like the Briere signing, but I understood it.

What possible use can they have for Weaver? I'd play Bealieu and Tinordi over him. At some point they have to learn. |

No idea mate. Might just be veteraning the d for a "playoff run." So Tinordi and Beaulieu next year (if ever).
Beaulieu doesn't seem ready at all though, at least in my books. |

I would prefer to let Tinordi play instead of Beaulieu, down the road Tinordi brings more to this team than Beaulieu will, also he is a (frank)ing headcase. Le fruit tombe jamais bien loin de l'arbre. |

Maybe it was simply a depth move for Hamilton for when Beaulieu gets called up?
Only thing that makes this deal make any type of sense. |
