I doubt he goes to Edm. He may decide to go back to Russia. |

Something else to keep in mind is that with all the time he missed with the tendon slice and knee rebuild it may have actually added time to the end of his career. - habs12
Oy vey. You're saying that multiple knee surgeries might prolong his career? |

sure, or other teams, but yes I suppose they could make a pitch too. maybe detroit or philly or tampa or la...but if your point is that a bottom-feeder could make an offer then, touché |

meh, as he gets on shelter his minutes. right now he's not making any less mistakes than he did in the past and the ones he is making weren't the same. He's adjusting with the lack of mobility and he'd be fine with 2 yrs physically I think.
I don't think MTL is way out of contention in the East, add a big forward in the top 6 and they might surprise. Hell Price might rupture his groin yadda yadda. - Pie
I don't think this is far fetched. |

I don't think they will actually trade him unless it's something stupid.
Not sure there's anything we'd be willing to part with that they would be interested in. |

My point is good teams won't offer him 3. All I'm saying is there's a lot of risk and evidence that shows multi year deals on 35+ players are a mistake. |

To add a big forward, you have to give up something good to. What will it take to acquire E. Kane? |

Think his knee is fine and good enough for a couple more years. I think being away from the banging and beating to the rest of his body may add something to the end of his career, yes. |

I agree. I think his knee is healed and no more likely to be injured than if he never had surgery. But we're talking about a guy who has gotten hurt a fair amount in his career. You really think he's not getting hurt again just in general? |
