You can only LTIR him ... Flyers style to have him off the books.

5? sounds a bit low... considering the cap is going way up I'd be willing to spend ( not my money) up to 6M for him.

6,5 /6/5.5 or something like that
6/5.5/5

That's what I meant.

Sure give him 6.

Don't (frank)ing lose him for nothing

Also, stupid iPad.

I bet Crims never returns in light of this, the most recent of his many public humiliations.

The Canucks clearly won this trade, as Weise was scratched before Diaz was.

Well, by Kadri's skate, but it still counts.

My memory isn't that great but isn't there usually a big trade the night before deadline? Tonight has been pretty slow...

You guys should have seen the look on my dad's face today when I told him via Skype Team Canada's goalie had been traded.

He's also gonna claim Conacher. I mean how does he pass that up?
- habby

I know it'd be hilariously ironic to get yet another midget, but I wouldn't be against it. This team can't really spit on any offensive help...

Just heard this on the radio and I thought it made a lot of sense.

Habs needed a RD to fill in on the third pair.

They have Subban who plays 25 minutes, Emelin who plays 20 (but is already on his offside) and currently Tinordi who plays 15 on his offside. Weaver will cover those 15 minutes on the 3rd pairing.

The left side is already complete (although certainly not ideal) with Markov playing 25, Gorges 20 and Murray 15.

Ideally, Bergevin trades Murray tomorrow and Tinordi takes those 15 minutes on the 3rd pair. I don't expect it though since he has been saying countless times that D depth is important to him.

Ideal D squad:

Markov - Emelin
Gorges - Subban
Tinordi - Weaver
Bouillon

Next year:

Markov - Emelin
Tinordi - Subban
Beaulieu - Gorges
Pateryn/UFA/Weaver

"He's a great warrior, played his rear end off for us every night, blocked, shots, killed penalties, so I wish him well."

Tallon's take on this Weaver fella.

Maybe not a bad deal after all for a 5th rounder.

He's pretty fiesty. I think Asp nailed it this afternoon when he said we basically got a younger Bouillon. I have no problem with that.

Why in the hell would Bergevin trade Murray. Over the last 10 games, he's been their most efficient D. He has size and is about the only Dman we have that clears the front of the net. Plus you'll never get his worth to this team in a trade at this point. Trading Murray makes less sense than trading for Weaver IMO.
