A lot of those guys are big on the 'play the kids' bandwagon. I always imagine those guys nearing a heart attack Superfans-style when they see a guy like Bollig solidifying a spot in the lineup instead of a Morin, #37, etc. (Not saying Morin hasn't played himself into a good spot to get another recall, don't need people to get their knickers in a twist).
I still enjoy the blogs anyway though. It certainly doesn't hurt to have differing perspectives. Obviously the reason I post here too is for differing opinions and the banter, though if you ask TG its a circlejerk in an echochamber - prd797
Got to be one of my top 5 or 10 of all time.
Reminds me of the rave culture sometimes, a world where everyone is a DJ. So you can pick your cool DJ name and everyone will call you DJ so and so long as you call him DJ so and so. It is a mutual admiration society. Nobody wants to be uncool a buzz kill. Even in the face of reality. Better to echo the herd, so nobody makes fun of you. |

At this point its all the same, I'll only do this until the deadline is over...
It's just that if somebody is obsessed with a guy, it'd probably be the right idea to learn how to spell his name... - prd797
I really like that #4 dude on the Hawks, but I still have to look up how to spell his name. |

I found them to be a mostly negative bunch the few times I have wandered over there. - Elbows15
Really? A negative bunch over there? we have people called Mr. Crankypants here. you are right, though. They are a negative bunch. I don't really look in the Hawk section. Mainly go on the main board or prospect board |

Funny, back before I saw the light on Sharpie SteveRain and I used to have simultaneous arguments about him both here and at the DH...only, because i posted under another name there, I don't think he knew he was arguing with the same person on both pages |

Maybe guys aren't misspelling Kesler's name and actually want this guy for his red ass quotient. - Elbows15
Let's sign him for one game next time the Hawks play Dallas and Douchelle... |

I really can't stand the Q-haters, which lots of people are. On HF boards Q is the worst coach in the league. |

Before the internets I used to buy the daily herald just for Tim Sassone's coverage. Definitely the best ever. I think it was tuesdays he would have a huge section with rumors and top-5 lists |

I remember Ryan Kesler definitely got the better of Toews in the '11 series. JT was pretty frustrated. Kesler's having a good year, but has major shoulder/hip surgeries in the dossier. Personally, he looks like a bit of a mope.
I'd rather have Fisher or Legwand if Stan pulls a shocker and makes a big deal.

From what little I have lurked there, there really is no discourse between posters. That is one of the things I like most about this site. The give and take and sharing of opinions. Without insults for the most part.

If you want to read something...interesting, head over to TheCommittedIndian. Those guys apparently blew a gasket after they heard about the Bollig extension... - prd797
Yes, they are so evolved. McClure and Sam would love to see every Blackhawk be a figure skater.
That said, seem like nice guys in person. They just like to call everyone who thinks hitting and the occasional fight still belong in the game "meatheads".... |
