Jordan came around on that, or Paxson and Kerr never get the ball with the title on the line.
- mohel

Again supposedly, in the fourth quarter against LA, during a time out, Jackson asked the team, "Who's open" - no response - he asked again, looking directly at Jordan, "WHO'S OPEN?"

Jordan finally responded "Paxson".

That was the first of six.

Jackson - a great coach for great teams - not an easy thing to do - 11 championships says a lot.

I expect that the comeback will be along these lines - "but why doesn't Toews ever get stuck with the weak link?".....
- mohel

Hossa has a harder time with playing with a center not named Toews, than does Kaner.

Supposedly, Jackson to Jordan: "There is no 'I' in team".

Jordan to Jackson: "There is in 'WIN'"

So many people overlook what really made Jordan the best to me. That guy could plain shut you down. He played both ends of the court with a killer instinct.

Pippen to this day is the best help defender I have ever seen.

Silly??? It looks like the Blues made a trade, but your pants got wet with excitement.

Maybe they shouldjust call the playoffs OFF now....

Explain to me which one Ott, or Miller is gonna score the goals they will need and didn't get, and which one is gonna get to the loose pucks and not give them up like their team did last playoff.

So they made a playoff trade...thing about it, if you don't win, you lost...on losts of differenct levels.

I am happy for them.

Maybe not as much as you are though....

Hmm.....last time I checked the Blues are ahead of the Hawks. They also shored up their weakness of giving up soft goals.

Didn't Hitchcock lead the stars in a similar system to a championship?

Aren't the Blues THIRD...REPEAT THIRD in goals per game in the league? Also top 5 in goals against, PP% and PK%?

Ott is also a great faceoff man, and will be difficult along with Backes to contain down the middle.

However, I forgot...you know everything....silly me.

Heard Magic one time talking about playing the college all-stars in the run-up to the 1992 Olympics. Bobby Hurley was having his way with the Dream Team until, as Magic said, "Daly put the glove (Jordan) on him and that was it." He was two-way with intensity, and Toews is similar.

Another similarity was seen against Pittsburgh the other day. Toews heard everyone talking about this being the first game between Toews and Crosby, and he played like his phucking hair was on fire. Nobody wondered who would be better, but Toews knew comparisons would be made. Mike was like that, too.

Pippen: best non-center defensive player I've ever seen. He just shut people down - the long arms that Krause had an orgasm over, lateral quickness - I remember when they put him one-on-one on Magic in 1991 - that was the series.

Jordan: a killer, most competitive player in any sport I've ever seen. If James had his competititve streak, HE'D be the best ever - don't know that he does.

Boston's beef (by the Milwaukee road roadhouse) at Grand and Chiaco is still there, but the last couple times I had it, well it wasn't what I remembered.

I would transfer buses ther ein high school as my mother farmed mre to Weber HS to keep me away from all my local friends at Holy Trinity and Wells HS.

I just remember spending plenty of my own cash on Boston Beefs from there and the smell of the gravy and meat and taste was totally a great memory.

I just was disappointed last time.

Jordan would make poop up. He destroyed some guys in practice. The ones who survived is who he trusted.

Good thing...but to be arrogant and just brush off the Blues is a huge mistake.

They will be factor.

that's assuming the Hawks can get by an Avalanche team that has given them fits the past few years. One of the few teams that can skate with the Hawks.

Kobe is the only player since Jordan who comes close to the competitive streak Jordan had. James isn't close in that regard.

Blues are likely to play the 7th seed, which right now looks like Minny. I was hoping they'd get Halak - that could have been interesting!

Didn't he smash Kerr in the face one practice?

Krause said he was afraid to bring young players in for look-sees because Jordan would just beat the up and destroy them.

Krause was an idiot.

I wouldn't do that: I don't know WHO would (will) win a seven-game series - against the Blues OR the Avs.

But I'm not willing to give up on it either.
