Yep and when Kerr didn't back down Jordan starting looking for him more. The one guy who stands out is Rodney McCray. Decent player and Jordan just destroyed him. Guy was useless after that.

Krause was a small, paranoid man who wanted the world to bow at his feet. It was wrong that team never was beaten on the court.

Blues are likely to play the 7th seed, which right now looks like Minny. I was hoping they'd get Halak - that could have been interesting!

Rather than seeds 1-8, isn't it a divisional format for the first two rounds of the playoffs now?

I wouldn't do that: I don't know WHO would (will) win a seven-game series - against the Blues OR the Avs.

But I'm not willing to give up on it either.

By no means am I giving up...but so many people on here are so quick to down play these other trades.

The west was even 3 weeks ago...Teams are narrowing the gap on the Hawks very quickly and home ice will be a huge factor which the Hawks very likely may only have for 1 round.

That's my point....

At this point, the Sabres and Islanders are going to own all of the draft picks in the first two rounds of the 2015 draft.

There are 2 wild cards...

Each divisional winner will play a wild card, who can come from the same division.
The 2nd and 3rd place teams in each division face each other. 2nd round stays within the divisional format that they used back in the 80s and early 90s....So the Hawks would get either STL or the wc team.

So right now....

Hawks-Colorado
STL-Minn
SJ-LA
Anh-Dallas

For the available defensemen he was the one I was hoping for, but it's not a big deal. I don't really expect Stan to do anything, he's made his moves.

Yes. The 7th and 8th seeds are for wild card purposes. We could call them 1st and 2nd wild card but Mo would never know what the (frank) we are talking about.
