By proxy, Florida has become Bowman's dumping grounds. Florida is dumping their crap in Vancouver.
It's a wonderful world we live in. |

True, two cups in four years. That's great but I'm concerned about the present. You guys can Richard ride bowman all you want, I just don't care for the guy. - goldenjet09
Before you get thrown into Q argghhhs domain what do you sugguest Bowman do ?
I love Kesler for Bickell Leddy McNeil and a 1st
But not for Saad.
What should Bowman do ? |

Looking at the last few cup winners, what BIG moves have any of them made at the TDL? The only one I can think of is LA and the Jeff Carter deal.
Aside from that, everyone is getting their britches in a bunch for what they perceive is that missing piece. If the Hawks make a big move, something HAS to go the other way. What does that do to the team? Really what everyone wants is a shiny new toy...and that's really all it amounts to. - eburgio
I posted something similar the other day. For every Jeff Carter that works out, there are probably a dozen failures, including Kovalchuk, Hossa (to Pitt), Iginla, etc., etc.

You do realize if you did that Sheldon Brookbank is your #6 defenseman, right? Every night. And if someone gets hurt, you have some stiff from Rockford who's never played an NHL game. |

And it's not like Jeff Carter is THE reason the Kings won. He helped provide some offense, but really Kopitar, Brown and Quick were the engines that made that ship go.
Just checked, carter had 13 points in 20 post season games that year, w/8 goals. Good, but not like he was the man |

Rundbland ? - mrpaulish
If true, this will be his fourth organization. Sounds like a minor league depth move to me. |

Nope, he has legit 2nd pairing potential still IMO. Could be a great buy low. |

Insurance. At least he has a handful of NHL games under his belt, which is more than I can say for anyone in Rockford, or am I wrong on that? |

It's possible, but I wouldn't put money on it happening. |

I don't think your necessarily wrong, but I'd feel a bit better with Dahlbeck instead of Rundblad, if it came down to it. |

So Robidas was acquired for a 4th, but Runblad for a 2nd? Unbelievable.

Yeah, that's a head scratcher. Overpayment it would seem for a guy who was languishing in the Yotes system and had talked about going overseas. |

Agreed. However, the lower pick for Robidas might reflect the salary Anaheim is taking on. |
