I would be surprised if Leddy is dealt at the deadline....maybe BBank...... - UnnamedSource
I wasn't entirely serious, but it might make sense in the event of the acquisition of Rundblad. Value-wise, though, do you see that as a deal you could stomach? |

I don't know much about Rundblad but I do know this.....
Oduya has 1 year left after this season....
Leddy hasn't progressed enough IMO and he could bring back a ton for a return
Clendening and Dahlbeck....1 could be up here next season as a depth Dman.....
So.....something has to give....you don't make this deal unless there is something bigger happening. |

This is directly off my 2009 Mock Draft not updates or anything...just thought I would share:
12. Minnesota Wild - David Rundblad, RH defense, 6 foot two, 188 lbs.
The good-sized Swedish d-man is a beautiful skater, adept at making "coast-to-coast" plays on the ice. He has a strong power-play presence, with soft hands, and a booming shot. When he takes off like an unbridled stallion into the attacking zone, he dangles as well as a forward, has puck control to work in tight, and passes well from both sides of the stick. Much of last year's scouting on him was filled with reports of him wandering around the defensive zone, chasing puck carriers, not reading well, and playing the puck and not the man. He has shown considerable improvement understanding his positioning and actions in his zone. It is still his weak point, but he's playing in the Swedish elite every game, and it is helping to further develop a defenseman's mindset, strength, and toolbox. He is first and foremost a puck-moving blue liner, but given time to develop a more efficient defensive side to his game, should become a well-rounded two-way defenseman. (Note: If this pick wasn't this low I could see the new management there trading it to re-acquire the missing two and three picks they traded away. They traded their third pick this year to leapfrog up one spot to beat the NJ Devils to defenseman Tyler Cuma and used the 2nd rounder this year to get Zidlicky. Too bad Dale Tallon will NEVER trade a second to move up to here, because it is a perfect spot to get an impact guy. The Blackhawks need ONE more impact guy.) - wiz1901
So.... Is he a Leddy replacement ? |

Silly, Jordan wanted the ball at every single opportunity to bury the other team. He wanted to be THE guy and was. Any other thought is nostalgic glamorization of a sports cliché.
Scottie Pippen was probably the best sidekick in the league and he was surrounded with complimentary players that WORKED in the triangle offense.
The proper personal was acquired to build around their core to make Jordan successful in the system Phil Jackson wanted to play and basketball flourished as a result. Surrounding the best player in the league with complimentary players who can succeeded in that system was a big part of that puzzle as well.
Players that cannot skate or drive possession are not complimentary players to a highly skilled dynamic player in any sport. And being a higher echelon player, playing with junk is insanely frustrating regardless of how the team is doing. To think otherwise is a blatant lack of an understanding of sports in general. - fattybeef

Don't know much about him other than he is 21... - prd797
He is 5 10 QMJHL defenseman was moves really well and can play in the AHL.
I am more curious as to why IF Rundblad was NOT hurt (and he wasn't) whey he didn't play much in the AHL if he couldn't break in to play in the NHL lineup.
Is this their version of Kostka?
Anybody rememeber when I was saying a week ago, I thought they needed another seabrook?
Well the size and feet are similar...very interesting anyway.
As to if this effects Hawk players later... |
