Yes - and before him, Keenan. - StLBravesFan
Thanks! Knew Sutter followed Kennan but the list you provided that followed them is thankfully mostly a fog. Blur would be a poorly chosen word as that could suggest that time period went by quickly; as we all know it was torturously slow. |

Dmen are usually worth and valued more. As much as you may have liked Pirri, right now he is nothing more than a prospect who has done very little in the NHL and who has played 4 years in the AHL. - UnnamedSource

Where's that rumor?
Also, WTF is going on here today. A second is a lot, has Wiz chimed in yet? - rollpards19
Been speculated from Brian Lawton's twitter. Who knows? Lawton was GM of the Lightning before Stevie Y. |

I'm wondering when the other shoe(s) drops in Anaheim: so far they've only sold, stockpiled draft picks.

Compared Rundblad to a Seabrook type. So we have that going for us. |

Haven't heard good things about Lawton's credibility rumour-wise, but all is conjecture anyway at this point. Not like Ek is much better
Oh, and didn't he wear some ridiculous number as a player? |

Jim Pappin will always be number 8. - Elbows15
Yeah, I liked him too. The MPH line. Pit Martin was one of my favorite players. I was too young to know he was part of what would turn out to be one of the most lopsided trades in NHL history at the time. Lucky for me the Hawks continued to make these types of trades with Dollar Bill and Pully at the helm. |

And also narrowing down the options for Mr. Kesler...
Larry Brooks @NYP_Brooksie 15m
Rangers had interest but were informed today that Ryan Kesler will not waive no-trade to come to New York, Post has learned. |

Joe Morrow 2.0?
Personalyl I think this is a low risk high reward move, I like Runblad, Could be a good dman
Or coudl be another Cam Barker - DDM-Coga
So we can trade him for the next Nick Leddy. |

It was around before then. Was known as the MIll. Was more of a hamburger joint. |

Yikes...my cousin, who is a Wangs fan, had joked that she'd get me a Chelios Hawks jersey ....as they'd be on sale since he didn't play in Chicago any longer - prd797
4 of us went pretty regularly, we each chose a bum to celebrate.
I think the others were Bonvie, Bicanek, and Maneluk
we drank a lot that year. |

Rumors about a Canucks/Duck/Hawks 3 way involving Kesler et. al....Hawks move player for 2 picks, move 1 pick for 2 players (one player NOT unlike Leddy in that he has excellent offensive upside with defensive zone questions, both similar picks)...then it crops up on rumor mill Ducks are in on Kesler, who are reported to NOT be on Kesler's short list of teams he'd accept a deal to.
There is probably NOTHING to this, but if I was a rumor monger these dominoes would be where I'd start. - kwolf68
The probability of three rivals from the same conference getting together to move a star player at the trade deadline is so small it's mind-boggling. |

Not surprising. A friend of mine liked Dmitri Nabokov...I never understood why.
I'm a younger guy, so it was a lot of root beer to wash the pain away |

If Kesler wants to come to Chicago this deal could happen if he nixes every proposal coming to Gillis. If VAN was willing to pay to let Bobby Lou loose that is the signal that they are not dealing from strength any longer. Gillis is getting his orders from the owners to blow it up.
Everything now pointing to Leddy + being the deal.
If this happens I will be very happy. |

Just curious, do teams still have to be cap compliant in the playoffs?
So say Hossa goes on LTIR, and they acquire a Kesler, Callahan or whatever for picks/ non-draft assets. Then can Hossa come back for the playoffs, even if the Hawks are then over the cap?
This is a very simplistic hypothetical, but still curious. |

Don't be surprised if Kesler ends up in CHI via a blind three way deal....... Lot going on behind scenes on this one!

Yes. Once the LTIR player returns they must be compliant.
