Just listening to Dreger on TSN radio, says that Toronto is interested in a #1 center but Ryan Kesler isn't a number one. I guess that depends on what team he goes to.

In fairness to Dreger, it would be pretty hard to push Bozak down the depth chart.

When nonuts gets fired does TSN fire Dreger or at least relegate him into obscurity?

Canucks should lead TO on and then when the leafs agree get Dreger to leak the deal only to have to recant because Kes wouldn't play for them. Nobody is trading a top 5 NHL center it just does not happen.

Holmgren likes centers. He's told me before he believes a successful team is stacked down the middle. Flyers already have too many centres..

Addition by subtraction please!!

Imagine a year ago if someone would have told us that Schneider and Kesler are being shopped. What could a package of Schneider and Kesler got in return? Or if they would have held on to Hodgson a little longer and included him?
- hankthetank

I expected Kesler to be traded last year. If you will recall there was a few of us on here calling for big moves. Once the CBA came in a lot of posters here knew Schneiders days were numbered.

I am calling by the end of next year the Sedins will be accepting a trade and Canucks will then have a full rebuild. I expect Edler and Burrows to be gone by the beginning of next year.

I'd look into dealing Bieksa, he turns 33 in June and could decline soon. Would bring in a big return if he's willing to waive. Would need to acquire a decent or sign a a RHD to replace him though, as Corrado is definitely not ready to be a top 4 guy next year yet.

Does it seem asinine to anyone else that Gillis is demanding a roster player that is preferably a center? It seems to me that Forcing a guy like Sutter into any package is ridiculous. Is he going to help the team win a cup in the next year or two? No. Would we not be better off with another high end prospect or 1st? Go for three awesome assets instead of a help me now? Is sutter such an upgrade over Schroeder that he must be included in the package?

I know we have a large gap in the center ice department but is Sutter really going to fix that? Schenn, Couts or players of their ilk would not players like Sutter...

Schroeder has played his last game for Canucks ,expect him gone by Wednesday.

Truly I'm a fan of trading Bieksa. The way Cherry has hyped him up can't hurt his trade value. We would still need to move a LHD and as you say find another RHD. That could be Diaz until we develop one....
