6. I may be in the minority on this buy why buy him out? If he sucks again leave him on the 4th line. Not like we are going to have cap issues. Maybe he plays well and we flip him at the deadline. Really theres no reason to buy him out except to make roster space for young players.

Buffalo is sure in a position to stock up on picks.

Just funny the Blues have such a great record but no confidence in Halak and trade/upgrade with Miller. And teams remember Halak's run as a hab in the playoffs and he is still worth maybe a first or something to the Wild.

Who knows what the new season may bring. I agree re Booth, it would have been nice to have the cap space this season, next season with a higher cap may not see the pressing need to buy him out.

But if things don't go right again, they may still want that cap space if there is a trade to be made. And it may be a distraction to keep him around, blame team's shortcomings on an overpaid 4th liner and a GM who didn't have the smarts to cut bait and move on.

I am guessing if the Canucks lose tonight and don't score, we will see some Canucks trades tomorrow. I don't know if I will be happy about that, cause I would rather see them in the playoffs, but change is needed in the lineup.

I am a huge Jensen supporter but he is confident right now and needs more development where he is. I feel he will be a fish out of water with a struggling team and it could damage his current success.

I would love to have kesler centering for Kane.

I don't see a match...at all. Nor would I think Gillis would want to trade Kelser inside the west.

Does Shaw/Bickell/1st or McNeil excite you guys? that's realistically what Bowman would do.

If Lu was going to Florida, Clemmensen would have been an okay vet backup to Lack.

Assuming Kes is moved to Philly for B Schenn + and with the impasse Ottawa is having with Chris Phillips would Ottawa ever entertain a Edler for Bobby Ryan swap? Edler and Karlsson sure looked good together at Sochi....just a thought
