I seriously doubt he garners much of a return that would make it worth trading him....... - chompsey
Considering what some bottom-6ers have returned at the TDL the last few years, it's entirely possible he could get something decent.
Just gotta find the right GM
That said, I'm entirely fine with them keeping him if the offers aren't good enough. |

That is why I am saying- "Any chance of Hansen getting us better players in a larger trade deal has to be considered. He is replaceable."
By himself, I don't expect a big return unless it is a project player with upside potential from a team with depth. But adding him to another deal may change the complexion of that deal a little.
I have no idea how GM's negotiate. I don't have a lot of faith in GMMG and picture him playing Monopoly and not wanting to make any deals with other players. |

You will. Just takes more time than fans would like. Especially when the cap drops $6M and nobody has cap space, making trades even harder. - KB3Point0
Sure but in the meantime, coach has to work with what he has got even if it isn't within his "philosophy". |

You need vets to guide the youth movement......we can't completely clear the cupboard and hope to get better...see Edmonton...... - chompsey
Sedins, Burr, Hamhuis, Bieksa,Higgins, Garrison and Lou (unless a miracle happens and he is traded). We are not entirely devoid of leadership like Edmonton... Edmonton had Ryan Smith and a collection of outcasts. Their young players were thrown to the wolves playing against the oppositions top lines and best defence pairings with nobody to help or guid them. |

Rossi's article on the Pens hinted at multiple players like their Hossa deal. They need more depth on the wings and Hansen certainly fits the bill. Adds some speed, grit and some depth scoring. Kes + Hansen would be exactly what they need. Could bump Glass down to the 4th line then. Replacing Sutter and Glass with Kes & Hansen would be a massive upgrade... Would change the complexity of the deal and increase our return...
Sadly I can only be cautiously optomistic that Gillis wont frank this up |

Sure... I agree. But isn't the point of trading Kesler to make room for Horvat to be the 2C next year? Sedin-Horvat-Sutter-Richardson as out 4 centres next year?
Obviously, there would have to be a BIG plus from Pittsburgh to make it worth while, but it's not like we'd bring in Sutter to be Kesler's replacement... or really anything other than what he already is: a 25-year old SOLID third line centre. |

Not even as a periphery piece? I view Pouliot as the center piece to the deal. Sutter is moving salary out for Pens and is the piece that allows prospects more time to develop. I don't want him being the targeted piece in the deal....
Loved that fans were chanting "sutter sucks" pregame yesterday. |

I think we all agree that Philly is the best possible trade partner if there is a fit.....
Kesler, Edler for B. Schenn, L. Schenn, Laughton, Gustafsson, 1st and 3rd
Thats my own original fantasy..... |

You really think Horvat can be our 2nd line center next year? I've watched a few London games on TV and the world Jr's and Defensively yes but when I see him play I worry he doesn't play at an NHL pace yet. He is very smart, passes well has a good shot but does he have the pace? Maybe its just in the Jr setting that his pace isn't noticably at an NHL calibre. I'm definitely not an expert scout |

Who's the source on that?(not that I think it's totally BS, but I have yet to see a legit source). |
