That makes him seem like he's been genetically altered.
- PhillySportsGuy

Well for a player with cement skates like him to be able to play hockey well, he'd have to be.

Is he going to be an elite player?

I will hold my breath for your crystal clear response

wait, he did? I thought he was a good egg, even if he horribly misconstrued my sarcasm the first time we interacted.

Fortunately, Skip was available to mediate.

- BulliesPhan87

Skip has kept me from going postal on this site more than once. I sooo wish I could be more like him!

I think the primary argument is that you don't need blistering speed to be an elite player.

Good hands, good positioning and overall intelligent play can create scoring chances.

- PhillySportsGuy

A slower player with better instincts and hockey sense which puts him in better position more often, plays faster then a player without that sense who has top end skating speed.

Was his speed a factor or did it hold him back?

I cant remember anything from that goal but the sweet little move he put on Henrik

Nor did he " split the d"

But it was terrific play.

- Briere

You're right, that was a mischaracterization on my part. But the point is that he certainly doesn't look slow on that play.

That's exactly the move I hope the Flyers don't make -- burn any pick for a player who is, at best, a lateral move

I'd much, much, much rather them do nothing than make a lateral move
