Carchidi says MacDonald is an excellent pick up for the Flyers. That confirms it, and puts my worries to bed. |

Maybe seeing better match ups with better players around will raise his confidence. I hope - PhillySportsGuy
Pair him with the Master of defense Timonen and let him absorb. |

I feel like the top dman on every bad team always has worse Corsi numbers than they really are.
Weren't Streit's Corsi numbers terrible before coming to Philly? |

Oh and if you trade Grossmann that would leave only Schenn, Coburn, Streit, and Guss under contract next season... |

I think he is a better player then the corsi folks point out
but the stats are bad - Marc D
It just smells so much like a lateral move -- with the Flyers' depth the way it is, if they don't recoup the picks...
I don't sweat the third-rounder as much, but those second-rounders add up, man.

I think they will re-sign MacDonald if they trade Grossmann.
Its rare the Flyers trade picks without re-signing the player. |

Exactly -- not sure how anybody can spin that second-rounders don't matter when only our freaking future rides on those three guys doing poop at the NHL level |

If Flyers are indeed able and willing to get a second round pick for Meszaros, this deal might make a lot more sense.
I hope so |
