I believe a regular 3-way trade would have all three teams discussing the parts of the trade with each other. A blind one has a team discussing a trade to flip with 2 other teams, without the 2 other teams talking to each other.

Even if it back fires and you cant get Seabrook for Kesler you could probably still get a pretty good D man for Kesler.

I imagine the idea of a blind-3 way trade is to prevent Team A knowing about Team C, and vice versa (assuming you are Team B). The problem is, if Joe Schmo from HockeyNerds.com is aware of the trade, there's a good chance that Team A and Team C know about each other. Either that or it's just a made up rumor.....

More so that you don't know who your guys are getting flipped to -- think, say, Vancouver getting Sean Couturier from us for Ryan Kesler, but Vancouver then flipping Couturier to Pittsburgh for picks and prospects so you can take it square for the next 15 years yet not know it was coming
