More so that you don't know who your guys are getting flipped to -- think, say, Vancouver getting Sean Couturier from us for Ryan Kesler, but Vancouver then flipping Couturier to Pittsburgh so you can take it square for the next 15 years yet not know it was coming

San Filipo just tweeted that Raffl has to be loaned to Glens Falls.

He actually has to go there to report, then he can come back tomorrow and play for the Flyers, because of too many players on the roster or something

Is Glen Falls nice this time of year?

To summarize, Schneider & Luongo were traded for a 1st round pick (Bo Horvat), Jacob Markstrom and (reportedly) Shawn Matthias #cantmakeitup

Agreed. His handling of the goalies couldn't have been much worse.

We're not mocking this enough -- that whole sequence is Mike Milbury-like

Didn't Mike Gillis used to be a player agent?

Because, he may need to re-visit that career path.

All things considered, getting Markstrom at this point, is a decent move.

The entire handling of the situation has been awful. Its been a running joke around hockey for years now

so if you have a lot of aging guys with NTCs

and need to do a rebuild...

you hire Tortorella as the coach, piss everyone off till they demand a trade

brilliant!

- Marc D

i don't know torts personally but he might be a guy like my boss

Right, but Pitt would have to know that Van would have Couturier. Which means they'd have to know about the Philly deal.

Correct -- one of the teams is the facilitator, and they're doing so because you likely won't like where your guys are going

Despite MacDonald's horrific advanced stats, but I do know he's got decent wheels and quite honestly, I have only seen MacDonald play the games against the Flyers & the Yankee Stadium game vs the Rangers.

I'm not a fan of the price paid, but he'll add needed mobility and will probably benefit from fewer minutes.
