So what if the Flyers now trade Mez and/or Grossmann?

Clears a bunch of salary.

Then go out and trade for Edler/Ehrhoff or other top D guy?

They have replaced Mez/Grossmann with Macdonald and Ehrhoff/Edler.

Defense rebuilt in 2 days.

Here's a thought... With all the goalie movements I wouldn't be surprised to see Winnipeg go after Cam Ward considering this playoff push they are making. There's the familiarity with Maurice also.

I realize that, and I'm not saying never trade picks, but I am saying that you can't draft well if you don't have picks.

Do we really want to be in the position of paying MacDonald 5x5 based on 20 games and, hopefully, a playoff run?

Terrible trade by the Yotes. Not enough of a return and trading him to a team in the same conference that is already stacked. They're going to regret that trade for a long time.
