I would, if he's gonna look for 2-3.5 mil.
If he's back there looking for a 4 year deal for 16 mil though....buh bye - Giroux_Is_God
Maybe. I would still like to exhaust many other possibilities before going back to Mez. |

Who would they trade? I'm not really familiar with any of their prospects and I can't imagine them trading an NHLer for him. Seems counter intuitive, to a point - Giroux_Is_God
Tyler Toffoli would probably be a big part if it is LA. |

As long as MacDonald doesn't hold the Flyers hostage in negotiations this is a decent deal. Were does he rate on the Flyers blue line offensively and defensively? |

A "live look in" via NHL network.
Swear to you the Pens announcer called him Geno 7 times in a minute and a half - Giroux_Is_God
I'm watching the NBC Sports game. Kind of. They are having technical difficulties.
Pens announcers are really annoying though. |

That's right I forgot about him.
Man for Vanek though if they can't part with any high end prospects that NYI would most likely want...dude that could be a huge package worth of picks |

The talk has been all Season that they need to improve the defense. Need to get more all around defenseman with more mobility. Well they just did that. - MJL
just passing time: would you trade both Schenns for Keith Yandle? |

Probably #3/4 in both categories, but he's more mobile than anyone but Gus. |

The way I look at it, the Flyers are going to lose Timonen and Meszaros off the Cap. That's 10M. I think one of Coburn, Grossmann, or Schenn will be moved in the off season, maybe even sooner. So that's potentially 3.5M to 4.5M more. So that gives them 13.5M to 14.5M to work with. Now how much is McDonald going to cost. Let's say 5M. So they now have 8.5M to 9.5M to add another defenseman or two, over what they spent this year. |

I think offensively, he's probably about 3rd- I'd put Mez and Kimmo ahead of him.
Defensively...I dunno. I might say third again, or at least tied. Kimmo, Coburn, then probably MacDonald. I haven't watch him THAT much, but I think he's got a defensive advantage over Grossmann and Schenn.
Although Schenn has shown us he's capable of playing at a pretty high level. Hopefully he can channel that again. |

Do you honestly think that the Flyers made this deal and are going to let him walk? For a top 4 defenseman who can play in all situations, has some decent offensive ability, skates well, and is a decent puck mover. It's cheap. - MJL
I will keep an open mind.....let's see how the guy plays then we can decide if his future is here....I hope it works out.

If he can be Schenn from the end of last year, our defense actually looks pretty strong. As is now, Schenn doesn't actually make a bad breakout pass. I personally think Gross is the odd one out now. |

You're calling it a fleecing without knowing how good he'll be. What if the Coyotes draft the next Shea Weber with that pick and Rundblad becomes Tim Erixon? |
