Im sure Penner wont be feeling that good after National Pancake Day with Free Pancakes at IHOP.

I agree about Erat. I really hope he asks to be traded from Pheonix. It would just be funny

He may help in the playoffs though. Your defense would really lack any kind of grit without him. I think he's day in a Pens jersey are numbered though.

Dont worry we can trade them Grossmann for a second

Im really not sure. He asked to be traded from two teams within a year. I just think a third would make it more interesting haha

i am a little worried about the lack of grit, but im still worried about it with him in there anyway. what grit he is contributing is more than overshadowed by his inability anymore in other areas. he has become a guy dependent upon his partner, whereas the inverse used to be true.

I think he's thrilled. No pressure, great weather, hardly any media.

If he is, he's got an amazing poker face... Doing an interview at the airport he looked like a guy who's pet was just killed.

Can't say i blame him, any shot at winning anything is pretty much dead.

The stress of Vancouver was just so much for him. I don't think he cares right now. I don't know how anyone could have dealt what he dealt with. He found a lifeboat on a sinking ship and that lifeboat took him to Miami.

I wanted the Flyers to sign him. The Flyers rarely make the moves I want them to make, but things end up working out a lot anyway.

eventually the pens have to draft a forward prospect of some merit. they are worse than the flyers with defensemen. at least you guys have taken a step forward with morin and hagg.

I think he wanted out of Nashville due to a lack of ice time. Things didn't get any better with the Caps.

He's was pretty consistent, points-wise, in his prime, but the teams are putting younger guys in front of him on the depth chart now, and instead of accepting a slightly different role, he chooses to cry foul and ask out.

Apparently he is actually quite good at poker.

Lets be real the shot of him winning in Vancouver was looking like it wasnt going to be too high either.

I always viewed him as an unselfish player because he played in a defensive system in Nashville. I guess I was wrong.

I agree the pens should draft a defenseman if they keep this first. Bennet was a great catch at the late first. One more like him on that cost controlled elc would really help their cap situation.

Im not sure if I want the flyers to go for a defenseman or forward. I probably would want a forward in the first and higher risk defenseman in the second.

He had 8 solid years of 49 points or more in Nashville, and always seemed to pick it up in the second half of the season. He's just not getting older gracefully.

with more balance in the system, you really can go BPA. especially since the flyers wont be picking high enough to get that bona fide stud defender anyway.

He wanted out of the Trotz system in Nashville and he wanted more minutes. He got sent in that god awful trade that was so unbalanced so he was really under a microscope with the Caps fanbase. In Washington he didnt get much playing time. Spent some on the 4th. He leinoed for a while. Instead of working harder and trying to fight his way up the lineup he asked for a trade which made the situation even worse. They basically had to trade him.

I fully believe GMGM is an idiot. He is as stupid as Mike Gillis, Joe Nieuwendyk, and Feaster

We should but thats the way I hope the BPA plays out. Personally I would love to get Julius Honka but take that with a grain of salt because I love him. He is my version of Matt Read to you.

And of course Ehlers too but hes going to go too high. Maybe Barbashev
