I think looking at it from that angle it doesn't look great but looking at it compared to say yest. where we had an immovable object in lu this isn't bad. Glass half full vs half empty.

Vancouver has turned Luongo and Schneider into Matthias, Markstrom, Horvat in 10 months. Terrible asset management and the whole goalie situation wasn't dealt right from the beginning. That being said, I do have SOME hope that Markstrom can be a decent NHL goalie, but not too sure about the others that they've gotten in return. This will be a very interesting next 20 hours or so in Vancouver.

He just had one on TSN 1050. He claims he had no knowledge of the trade and was really surprised.

I heard that it was Lu's anxiety issues that lead to him being traded

That's guy's star has fallen quite a bit. Couldn't get a solid run on a team in OTT that's been desperate for D.

Also beware of saying anything that might go against the Canucks or Gillis in this thread, especially if you're not a Vancouver fan. I was just banned for absolutely no reason because of this, but luckily it was rightfully uplifted in no time.

After the Luongo trade he is totally committed now. He has to trade Kesler now and he has to trade a D man by the start of next season. Otherwise the teams situation is even worse then it was 2 hrs ago.
