I think whoever out of PIT/CHI/ANA lads him would be cup favourites. He improves your team in so many ways. - Nucker101

Anaheim isn't moving Fowler. Etem is another forward prospect of theirs, played junior with Shinkaruk and lit it up big time. - Nucker101
I know, just having some fun. I still think we need that C coming back though.
If you replaced Vatenen with Bonino I'd be in.

they do have Hampus Lindholm who is their #1 d prospect i could see us getting him with Nick Bonino and a 1st would be a good packages for us let Linhome work in the AHL for a year or 2 and then bring him up after that |

So what's the consensus? Most Nuck fans are choked with MG? - whipper334
They could do a pole I bet you would get a mixed reaction. Depends on if its over this deal or his entire tenure as well. |

Any chance Matthias draws into the line-up tonight?
He is currently on a hot streak, 5 pts in last two games
We could use that |

I don't understand how Canucks fans would be upset with this deal. I personally love it. - Scooby_Doo
They got a solid 3rd liner and a Goalie who may not live up to his excellent projections. Still, they got rid of a good chunk of Luongo's contract but there's question marks there as well... when does he retire? Waiting for this deal cost them Schneider. Schneider was dealt from a position of weakness because of the Luongo fiasco.
I dont think its about the players coming back anyways. Its about how much the situation has been mismanaged and the fact that an elite goalie and ready to be star goalie turned into so little in trades at this point and now the team is gambling on Lack and Markstrom far too early. How many of these traps has Gillis already set for himself.... he's running out of fingers....
I think the big picture is really what people are upset about. This team has completely collapsed under Gillis. There is little evidence that a plan has been put into place and activated because its flip flopping season to season. Even if Gillis gets good players when forced to make a trade, we are still dealing with having to repair his blunders. Even the victories are one step forward after two steps back. Asset management has been a nightmare for this team under Gillis. I suspect kesler is not the only player wanting out still in the line up.

Shea Theodore might be a nice piece in a package. - Fosco
Him too.
Ducks scouting and development seems to be pretty good. I'd really want him or Vatanen involved plus either Etem or Silfverberg(not sure who's more promising?) and OTT's 1st. |

Yeah, if he does pull the trigger on a Kesler deal tomorrow that's gonna really make a huge difference in the Canucks future. Sounds like Philly is out and was just in to drive up the price for Pitt. |

Its funny because in the beginning it was all about the players and making thing better for them. "I am going to make GM place and the Canucks organization a place that player's around the league want to play for." I don't have the exact quote but it went something like that. |

Provided Markstrom Floruishes under Rolly Mellanson I'd be happy.
Frankly Im just happy to see Lou happy And out of this shytty franchise that has treated him like complete garbage. |

Silfverberg is the main piece in that deal I'd say. I rate Bonino and haven't seen anything from Vatenen, who plays in a position we don't really need to strengthen. |

It's all about value IMO. Gillis could trade Edler for a promising. It's similar to teams who factor in needs when drafting, just get the best player and worry about the other things later, you can always move good players for other good players who play a different position. No way I want Bonino over their other young players who have better pedigrees compared to what Bonino did before this year. |

Me to not happy with the franchise as a whole but I wish all the players the best and will continue to cheer them on regardless of the state. I don't believe in #tanknation, I cheer to see them win or at least play their best every game. |
