I think by trading Schneider Gillis created more options for himself, while getting Horvat. End of the day, we've got two goalies that have potential to be really really good. I'm happy with what was done today.

Given Luongo's contract, to get ANYTHING in return is a win. It's a shame that the contract messed this up so badly. Overall though, I think the Canucks have two very good prospects in net, now we'll see what they get for Kesler and/or edler

You know what guys.......at worst we got a bonafide bottom 6 center with size....which has been our weakness for years AND a goalie that most fans used as a reason as to why FLA would not trade for Luongo......

It's a decent return in a retool if A) Lack becomes the next Schneider and B) a kesler deal brings in a young top 6 center....

Big if's when talking bout MG...but throw in a free agent top 6 winger and suddenly we aren't so bad anymore......but for what it's worth, we better tank because the prospects of mcdavid or eichel next year give me a massive boner that you can all suck.....

And their elite third line center Kadri ( on the trade block)

Yes, he f'ed it up over the last couple of years and, like I said, he's pretty useless, but considering Luongo was considered an albatross, I think Gillis did OK today.
