Disagree. Meddling owners are a death sentence for franchises. I know they own the team and want input(so would I), but I believe that the best run franchises trust their management group fully.

It's an extremely minor deal but actually not a bad one all things considered. Mullen was on an expiring contract and was never going to play for the Canucks. Although at this rate he may have been in line to replace Edler should he be traded.

I know all the talk of moving Edler in the summer was mainly due to the window before his new contract kicked in, but isn't it just as likely that one of the other dmen with $$$ and ntc's get moved?

If this is our chance at a little rebuild and we are a few years away from any real expectations from our present blue chip prospects, I'd rather trade Bieksa.
