Ha! Yeah. Because I truly didn't think they wanted to do that deal now, but it's better to be sure.

If we're going to burn assets, again, then burn 'em on something that you don't have -- and for better or worse, we've got centers and at least three Top 6 wingers in Voracek, Hartnell and Simmonds.

im just obsessed with young promising defenseman that the Flyers will never try to go after lol
- justahockeyguy2

Be excited about Ghost. He's the type of young, dynamic defenseman everyone here has wanted forever in their system.

Gaborik a King
- Jsaquella

Gaborik went to Columbus to get away from Torts... ends up with Darryl Sutter, lol. Man, that's going to be a strange marriage.

the show suks compared to the books, at least for me

HBO sexed it up and it didn't really make it any better

there is much subtlety that the TV show leaves out

- Marc D

Well, having books that size and condensing them for any medium, even a TV series, does require that subtlety be sacrificed or you've got 40 3 hour episodes per book.

That Gaborik deal didn't really work out for Columbus very well

Too many Flyer posters for him to concede that. He's calling every Flyer source he has hoping they utter the word Kesler.

The addition of Mac helps. Ghost will, hopefully, be in the AHL next year and may get some time in the NHL. Its not that far away.

understood, but the fact that HBO has the story in no way makes up it if he dies and the story is never finished in print

Yeah, but one thing about Sutter is that he isn't as crazy as Tortorella. He didn't mind that Jarome Iginla didn't always backcheck while he was putting up 40-50 goals.

There's a difference between some guys and guys like Tortorella. Some of those guys understand that you need goals to win, and as long as the guy is relatively competitive, you can put him in your lineup and it make sense.

That's basically going to be the case (minus maybe Schenn/Coburn) in 3 years. Doubt Streit stays all 4. Grossmann will have moved on. Probably at least 2 of Ghost/Morin/Hagg/Alt/Lauridsen in the mix, and then whatever elderly UFAs we get to fill out the rest.
