I'm hanging onto Luke b/w the two of them. A few reasons...
1. His RH shot
2. Better outlet passer
3. Less wear and tear, and some room for growth in game.
Grossmann can handle the tougher assignments better right now, but with Macdonald in the fold, we have someone for that. - Just5
I don't disagree with any of that.

I like Sami Vatanen a lot. Reminds me so much of a righthanded version of Kimmo Timonen at the same age. Undersized but courageous, smart and skilled at both ends of the ice. - bmeltzer
you think hes available? |

Schenn will bring a bigger return, but what will that return be? His stock is at an all time low. He'd get you your 2nd and 3rd back, but I don't see him getting you much more.
Potentially. It's hard to say what Schenn's value is around the league. I doubt he'd bring back a 1st rounder in the top 25. - PhillySportsGuy
Schenn has more value then that in my opinion.

Yeah that would be like trading Schenn for MacDonald. Something I doubt anyone would do given Schenn's potential.
I really hope that the flyers can find a way to get rid of Grossman today. He has the biggest risk for the flyers. He is the most at risk to return to his awful performances in January and the most at risk to get injured with his knee and concussion problems. |

That's why I think it will be more of a 4th/ 5th / or prospect TBD for Meszaros. Why not keep both shot blockers as we make a playoff push, and have depth with Gusty in case of injury. |

This means the Flyers never offered Schenn and a 1st for Kesler |

yeah you need a guy like grossman with his size to handle the malkin's, nash's, neal's, lucic's. |

Rumors were that the Isles wanted Vatanen for Vanek. Ducks turned that down.
He's like a much better all around version of Gus. |

concussion issues are always concerning, esp. in the playoffs when it seems like every player is finishing their checks |

Gillis was trying to scare the Pens. Reports are Homer never made any offer for Kesler. I don't think he minded Gillis using his name to try to up the Pens offer though |

Depends on prospect. Im really not sure how much they love him. They're a team loaded with young, offensive defenseman. They have Theodore in the WHL. He's a dazzling offensive player.
Edit: I mean I don't know how much they would want for him. I thnk they like him a lot though. |

but odds are likely that vanek would resign with a good team. esp in sunny california. he's made his money, think he wants to win. |

Yes, but were part of the Schenn fan club. Do you think a team is going to give up a 1st for him? I really doubt that. I see 2 2nds. |

Supposedly vatanen is available. Heard he was kimmo's partner in Sochi too. One has to wonder if kimmo came back home, and chirped in homers ear about him. |

I think they'll move the guy who gives them the best return between Grossmann and Mez. I think they'll put Schenn out there to see what he'd bring back. I wouldn't trade him unless someone offers a first or good prospect. |

it's common sense tho, anaheim first in the west, has a real high chance of winning this year. why would he turn that down? |
