I love how everybody debating what defenseman is gonna leave...It pretty apparent to me that they will deal Mez for mid round pick and be done with it - nonpoint22
When the Flyers acquire a shot blocking dman it becomes not so apparent. And you start to think that they may deal a shot blocker type instead of Mezsaros. Which seems a lot more likely at this point. |

The cap keeps going up so much every year. Overpayments don't look as bad after a few years. - PhillySportsGuy
Canadian $ is losing value against the dollar again... with like 50% of the league's revenues coming from the Canadian teams, that's going to be bad news in the future. |

Unless something is seriously wrong with Emery..I dont understand why anyone would link us with a goaltender...Force of habit I guess...Let me try to put the league on notice..We dont need a goalie, we got a pretty damn good one this year - nonpoint22
If Emery was still not right, I would consider trading for one. I would be terrified if Cal Heeter was backstopping the Flyers in meaningful games |

Haven't you heard? We never have good goalies... The notes from 2010 say it! It's right there! - FlyersGrace
And if we signed him for 3 years at 6/year, 35+, NMC -- we'd be set for the foreseeable future.

Gillis should hold onto Kesler until his value drops to almost nothing. Would be something he would do anyway. |

Maybe in Slovakia, but he's really just a regular guy in NA. |

Anaheim probably still has like 8 NHL-caliber goalies left to deal. |

andy damn well better be in the lineup tonight - Crimsoninja
I read yesterday that Macdonald was seen getting on a plane right after the trade was announced and couldn't comment on the deal right away.
Presumably flying to Philadelphia.
Hopefully the Flyers guys like ASF would know and write something about if he is in town and playing. Especially after that add they ran with him "Crunch Time". |

Supposedly Emery returned to practice yesterday (PhillyNews), but still, he is somewhat suspect from a health standpoint, I wouldnt mind having Brodeur as a backup. |

His stature would instantly create a low-burning goalie controversy... wouldn't be down with that. |

From a talent standpoint, he'd be fine, but I don't want all that attention around the team. I'd rather get a serviceable backup like one of the Canes' goalies. |

If Homer traded for Marty Broduer, Brodeur would shoot the puck into his own net just to spite the Flyers. I want him gone. Either out West or retired. I want nothing to do with him ever again. And I hope to hell he never coaches. I have watched his ugly mug for 22 of my 29 years of life. I want him gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. |

So any word on what the Kings gave up? I imagine it didn't cost them a ton. Gaborik has hardly played the last 2 years. |

Jets just lost a center to a MCL. Hmmm I know of a team deep in centers. |
