I really don't see why this is such a terrible deal. Underwhelming? Sure.

Kind of seems like they took a lesser D prospect to get the big winger.

6'5 dmen that can and likes to hit and have a 100mph shot are a dime a dozen? Mike Weber I a dime a dozen, not McNabb, IMO.
- Homer

100% the kid may never be a #1 dmen but I can see a very reliable #3 guy

Because at some point we can't possibly use all of them. You can only have so many guys in the organization. We just traded 1 guy for 2, so we probably need to dump something else somewhere
- HonkFortheGoose

yeah, but 2 seconds and good player for two guys that's chances of success are rated a D by hockey futures??? Idk, dont like it on the surface, guess we'll find out in a few years.

What was the point of this trade? You even got another defensive prospect in return? Keep the picks and just trade McNabb for a 4th I don't care.... Don't give up those seconds for nothing.

Confirmed......Fasching and Deslauriers
- Homer

From Hockey's future (another smoke blower about every prospect so take it with a grain of salt)

Deslauriers still is one of the most talented prospects in the Kings’ system despite being slow on the development side a bit.
An absolute wizard on the ice, Deslauriers is a pleasure to watch, thanks to his remarkable skating ability. As an offensive defenseman, Deslauriers has the ability to pick up a loose puck in his own zone and lead the counter-attack in the matter of just a handful of strides.

McKenzie says the trade call hasn't transpired, maybe we are getting something else. If not, Terrible Trade.

The big get is Fasching. I like the move of using our stock pile of picks to quick start the rebuilding process, rather than have the average age between buffalo and rochester be 18.2 in three years

So McNabb isn't good enough to play here but is good enough to play for LA?

If there are 2 2nds in there with McNabb for A college freshmen not 2 years into his development and a 29 year old AHL goalie?? WTF
- Stripes77

I don't immediately know of these two prospects are any good so I assume they suck and there for Murry is an Idiot and we wasted draft picks

I liked Fasching's game during the WJC's this year. They talked about him a lot. I'm guessing that's the piece they really wanted.
