Not hearing anything about a bigger trade with LA and Buffalo from anybody reliable. Anybody else?

Which 2nds we traded will make a big difference...

If it is LAs back to them and STL then not a big deal IMO but if we traded ours.. then im mot happy

We own LAs the next two years. That was the Regehr trade.

So basically Regehr and McNabb for Fasching and Deslauriers.

One of the prospects we traded for was picked in the 4th round not even a year ago. I'm confused as to how his stock got this high over that period of time.

When players declare young, they're often drafted later. It's all about their development.

So the Sabres try a big, heavy hitting defenseman, capable of top line minutes in AHL or 5/6 pairing in NHL... PLUS 2 second rounders for a recent 4th round pick and some other nobody who will likely never wear a Sabres jersey in his life.

Not too much. Apparently someone stated that big trade will make the McNabb trade make more sense but I dont see how.

I'll echo that McNabb and 2 2nds seems steep for two other prospects, but as far as pieces that "hurt" to give up, I'm really not that upset. I want difference makers, not "solid" guys. McNabb isn't one, and the 2nd rounders are a crapshoot. If even one of Fasching or Deslauriers turn out to be one, it's a good trade.

One is almost NHL ready, second on team in scoring in AHL, and the other kid sounds like he could be a beast.

Lol. Deslaurier is the junk add. Fasching is the guy Murray wanted. When a guy comes out of no where like that it just means Murray has done his homework and has guys in every league he knows he wants

Happy for McNabb, he finally can get a chance to play.

It's not so much losing McNabb, it's that they gave up two 2nds as well. Could of used those on draft day to move up. I guess they really like Fasching.

What I'm looking to do with our extra picks is package them for better picks, or include them with a prospect to get a better young player
Maybe they feel that's what they've done

Makes sense, can't remember the last rapper that came from Buffalo. On the other hand LA has a fantastic hip hop scene.
