Moulson, McCormick, Halak, 3rd, Mcnabb
BUF GAINS
Fasching, Delauries, Neuvirth, Klesla and Mitchell

So it really all pivots on how well Fasching and Delauries turn out.

So really it's Fasching and Deslauries for UFA Moulson and McNabb. Everything else is a wash IMO

The 3rd we have to wsh dowsnt make sense... we gave them a better goalie... took their poopty goalie and took their Dman who was getting sent to the ahl any way...

How does that make sense...?

Giving LA their 25+ picks back doesnt hurt me at all.

This "best prospect" from LA is a freshman in college.. that means he could be like 4 years from the NHL..

Carrier is in the q and is 3 years away... Armia, Deslauriers, and/or grigo have a chance to make the team next year I guess....

There's a lot of fans in this town that only think emotionally. Completely oblivious to the business side of things. Those people would prefer we go on a hot streak till the end of the year to try and make playoffs.


Edit: they think trades are free giveaways because we don't want to pay people. And no matter how many times you tell them these guys contracts expire in 6 weeks it never registers.

The Capitals trade makes sense because the goalie the Sabres got is younger and makes far less money than Halak. The 3rd might have been basically a bribe to take Halak and give us Neuvirth.
