There's a lot of fans in this town that only think emotionally. Completely oblivious to the business side of things. Those people would prefer we go on a hot streak till the end of the year to try and make playoffs.


Edit: they think trades are free giveaways because we don't want to pay people. And no matter how many times you tell them these guys contracts expire in 6 weeks it never registers.

We just got a new GM, so they should leave the "rebuilding for 5 years" remarks aside because Regier isn't here anymore, so we have a MUCH needed fresh start with an amazing prospect pool, tradable assets (No longer, for the most part), vast cap room, and perfect draft position for the next two years for top end/elite talent.

It's been that way for years now. The guys that tend to get the biggest return are the ones that have at least a year left on their deal. They're long term rentals I guess but they seem to get better returns these days.

I am personally laughing on the inside at all the fans commenting on the Buffalo News and Facebook thinking that the team shouldn't have gotten rid of our "best" players, and believe that ALL of the management should be fired now If only they knew what this really means for the team McJesus

Crappy return for a guy that would walk for nothing. It's obvious he didn't want to stay here he's old we suck. If he did want to stay the would have signed him no problem cause we need to reach the cap floor.

Considering Vanek was traded for Collberg and a 2nd. Which is already worse than the Moulson deal. Plus potentially the isles could have traded Vanek for Collberg if Habs miss playoffs... thats it. Garth Snow is terrible

I'm perfectly happy on how things turned out for the sabres. Can't wait for the draft now maybe Murray wheels and deals for players and then hits free agency with purpose. He could also just stand pat and suck for mcdavid or eichel and depending on what the islanders do might dictate that.

I can't wait to rip on Carrier and Fasching 4 years from now.

I switched to using Stl long before the trades.

You dont always win games by hitting home runs..
sometimes it is the singles and the doubles that slowly win a championship..


Hoping that is what we did today.

Barring trades at the draft or over the summer, here is what the roster appears to look like for next season:

G- Enroth, Neuvirth
D- Myers, Ehrhoff, McBain, Weber, Risto, Ruhwedel, Pysyk
F- Leino (buyout hopefully), Hodgson, Stewart, Ennis (RFA), Stafford. Mitchell, Girgs, Foligno (RFA), Conacher (RFA), Flynn, Ellis

Current contracts, not UFA's. We need more forwards lol.

I will like once a month online and I usually win. But it takes Jedi like concentration and overtime to win it

If we don't get McDavid next year somebody somewhere high up is getting tossed off a cliff.
