Expansions haven't gotten the first 2 picks the last several drafts that included expansion teams.

To get to the cap floor this organization is going to have spend some money on free agents this summer, aren't they?

Seeing the return on Moulson makes me think the team should have at least offered him a contract to stay. I'm not saying he would have accepted it, but I'd overpay a 30 goal scorer any day before dumping him for two 2nd's. I think Murray assumed he'd get a ransom and came up well short.

I think the fans thought we were getting a ransom, some of the returns people that we were getting was crazy, a 1st and a top prospect was 100% unrealistic.

Murray is speaking very highly of the guys we got from LA, I would hold off on any excessive criticism for now.

I actually feel bad for the Islanders fans.

And I am so glad we jettisoned Vanek- from the Edmonton situation, to his constant pouting (remember when he pouted for not getting the C originally), to his antics at the Olympics, to his public refusal to sign with the Isles (basically those last two killed Snow's leverage)... just comes off as a selfish me-first guy.
