They signed Kovalchuk to some stupid long deal (like 15 years) with some serious back-diving money, to which the NHL basically said enough is enough and hit them with some penalties. This led to the rule about salary change from year-to-year of a contract (like how the Flyers had to rework Talbot's).

The Kovalchuk deal that was struck down by the league. They extended a second offer shortly thereafter which ended up being "fair" in the eyes of the league, but that first one warranted the punishment.

The 3rd becomes a 2nd if the Bruins reach the ECF and Mez dresses for 2/3rds+ of the Bruins playoff games, OR if Boston resigns him before the draft.

If they resign him AFTER the draft, they get an additional 4th rounder along with the 3rd (or second, presumably?)

I will be at the game Saturday against the Leafs with my kids. I can't stand loosing to the Leafs because I hear about for the next week from all the Leaf fans. I just hope the Flyers can come out like they did against the Caps by being physical and forechecking the Leafs hard... Their D sucks and is under a lot of local pressure the fans are questioning why they were not all over Macdonald., we should not loose to this team. Giroux is possessed and let's hope they can play a solid 60min

Sure he can. He came up with the anti-serum to the poison in the first movie (chemical), dealt with trying to shut down the nuclear containment device in the last movie (nuclear), and designed the suit for Batman in the second movie (materials/mechancal).

That team's in serious financial jeopardy, every season, because they simply struggle to draw fans. Harris did the NHL a solid by buying that team, almost no questions asked...I can see why they gave him the pick back.
