It amazes me Daniel Sedin hasnt scored in 21 games and Burrows doesn't have a goal yet.
- tomcat24

That is pretty bad. And Danielle won't be scoring anymore this year.

Torts killed the Sedins. Henrik had like 8 straight pretty much PPG seasons and is at like .7 this year. Why make them kill penalties and change their offensive structure? He better hope TSN is keeping a chair warm for him

I think they will find solace in their new contracts.

I wonder if this will be his last stop? The Torts aura has worn off

True. Hard to believe how quickly the Canucks bottomed out. A few years ago they were really close.

I do think I'm a Huge reason they won the Cup I should get a ring. I'm not going to do anything to ruin it. We are going to repeat. 3 Cups in 5 years
- tomcat24

You were THE reason. They're just not aware. Good to hear, I can breathe a sigh of relief.

I know my statement comes with caveats, in terms of Q riding Keith until the wheels fell off minutes-wise and Hammer switching sides (which I had forgotten about), but...

Keith openly admittedly his head wasn't in it.

And after Hammer got suspended for plastering Pominville, he did not play as aggressively. Again, just my opinion, both had fewer points too but that certainly doesn't tell the whole story.

Yeah. Playing for his junior coach helps a lot. Having Sakic around helps too.
- Elbows15

Might want to check that. I don't think Mackinnon played for Roy in juniors. Thought he played for Halifax.

Roy coached Quebec in the QMJHL.

The Halifax head coach's name is Ducharme or something like that.

Don't get to follow junior leagues much, but I know Halifax from Cam Russell being their GM and I'm pretty sure Mackinnon played for Halifax.

Read this Unofficial offer the Pens made for Kesler:

According to Pittsburgh Tribune-Review beat writer Rob Rossi, two-way center Brandon Sutter, a first- and third-round draft pick and the Canucks' choice of any defensive prospect in the system other than Derrick Pouliot was the unofficial offer.

No wonder JJ says that the Hawks offer was the best the Canucks received

From thefourthperiod.com ( http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/van140306.html ):

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review had reported that the Penguins had pitched an offer of center Brandon Sutter, a first-round draft pick, a third-round draft pick and the Canucks' choice of defensemen Simon Despres or Brian Dumoulin.

The Ducks, according to TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta, had presented a package that included defenseman Sami Vatanen, a first-round draft pick and another player.

Makes you wonder if Canuck Ownership prevented Gillis from making the deal in case not all deals were being fairly considered. It's clear the Nucks are circling the drain and it won't be long before anyone of value will be screaming to get off the sinking ship. The Nucks need to max out on any deal they make, not make deals so the GM 'doesn't look bad'.

TT update: In last two games Teuvo had one goal and an assist. Only two games remaining in regular season and TT is fifth in scoring. He has 9+34=43 points in 47 played games. I almost hope that Jokerit will make an early exit in playoffs this year and you guys could see him playing couple of games in Hawks jersey this year. If he could help this team in one area it should be powerplay with his amazing vision and puck skills.

Even if there is an early play-off exit, what are his chances of making the national team for the World Champuonships? Bowman said if he did, that would delay his cone rocker here.

That would be a problem. He dangles fine. Chuck Norris would be better.
