My question remains is how do you fit TT in Chicago with 50k cap space and an incoming 925k cap hit? only player I see being a potential is Brookbank to Rockford to even try to make it happen, and even then someone would snag him off of waivers.

- ikeane remember, we like our team and dont want to lose any players off the roster

I agree, and I posted this very question a few days ago. There are no players to send (without going through waivers) down to create roster space. So, either a roster player (or players) goes or someone finishes the year on LTIR. And they need to lose about $900K, so Regin won't be near enough. Rundblad won't go either because they just used a 2nd round pick to get him. If he plays here I think it will be the LTIR route for someone (Zues or Brookbank), but I am not sure how much (or if) LTIR moves are scrutinized by the league for legitimacy.

It won't be Brookbank. Regin and Rundblad. You lose them. you lose em. Or Handzus goes on IR.
- Elbows15

If they knew they were going to bring TT over for a spin and decided to trade a 2nd round pick for a guy they knew they'd lose in a few weeks to waivers, then Stan needs to put down the pipe.

I'd be surprised if it were Rundblad, Stan gave up a 2nd to get him. If it's Regin what will you do with your new #12 jersey?

Don't see Rundblad being exposed to waivers after giving up a 2nd, especially with as high as Bowman praised Rundblad. Is Zues hurt and able to go on IR?
- ikeane

Zues is 107. I am sure something hurts. Bowman won't have much choice. He isn't going to take the chance on losing Brookbank and rolling into the playoffs with Rundblad as his 7th D-man. And the only way he can Rundblad is if Zues goes on IR. Do you see him taking anyone else out of the line up that makes enough to free up room for TT. Rozy maybe?

Curse you Ekland for pointing out that the Hawks are 16-9-10 since December 1st.

As I wrote today....In theory Bowman would have had to tear apart a roster and create many holes to somehow fill one. Never was going to happen by the deadline.
For those who want a major deal...Hope for the playoffs to end very early and then revisit some of the rumors.

So is Marty St. Louis, and we know TT is at least as skilled as MSL.

TT update: In last two games Teuvo had one goal and an assist. Only two games remaining in regular season and TT is fifth in scoring. He has 9+34=43 points in 47 played games. I almost hope that Jokerit will make an early exit in playoffs this year and you guys could see him playing couple of games in Hawks jersey this year. If he could help this team in one area it should be powerplay with his amazing vision and puck skills.
- MjulQvist[/quot

do you think the Jokerit team is plaing their best games right now? Will the team be plaing the first or second best team in the playoffs? finally, is TT willing to take hits? ...or is he avoiding them?

When Regin fell into the boards, I admit I was hoping for a leg break.

Not Brookbank, and not Rundblad. Rozy to IR, perhaps, but whoever goes on IR needs to stay until the playoffs (if TT stays past his eight or nine games). Does all this suggest (as Al has written) that TT won't be here to actually play?

I don't get all the Kesler Love.

Can't see it. He is hurt all the time. As usual Gillis over rates the values of his players. Just look what he received for Schnieder and Luongo combined. Not That much. His Kassian trade is also looking like a bad deal.

I don't doubt the Hawks are on his list. Kane is fed up with playing with average second line centers and I get that ....but he's not running the team and if he thinks Buffalo is a good location he needs his head examined.
Better game last night and I think like many that Saad and Toews have some mo-jo together.

Life is full of trade=offs...
Trade deadlines were more fun here when the team wasn't wining Cups.

You are aware the draft this year is pretty weak? A 2nd is nothing and can be re gained easily.

He has 3 real options.
Waive Regin and Rundblad.
Zues to IR
Rozy to IR

Seems they want him to be here. And in Chicago.

You can't be that size and succeed in the NHL.
